The MAF sensor will be located between the air filter and throttle body, just unplug electric connector, unscrew/bolt the screws holding the sensor on and put new one on and your done. If you don't know what it looks like buy the new so you can locate the one in car and the screws holding it on may be torx screws so don't attempt to remove those with Philips screwdriver.

I just installed the mounts on my 2000 Impala (and I think the model's mounts didn't change with mines versus yours) and there were 3 mounts. 1 on the passenger side of car (right behind the oil filter), the transmission mount (right above the axle on the driver side), and you also have a torque strut mount that's on top of the engine, as soon as you open the hood of the car).

This is listed in your owner's manual, and somtimes on the oil fill cap. Call a dealer to make sure. 5W-30. It is listed in the owner's manual. The 3.8L V-6 uses 10W-30. Make sure you use the 5W-30 to allow for closer tolerances on the 3.4L, especially in colder weather. I would run 5w30 until you hit about 50,000 miles then switch to 10w30 as wear becomes more prevelent.

I may be slightly off, but I have noticed the 'click' for the flasher is coming from the hazzard flasher button. I have removed the harness and found the turn signals do not work as long as the switch is disconnected. Hope this helps!! Just replaced mine. The Emergency Flasher switch (button) on the dashboard serves as the turn signal flasher also. Around a $35.00 item. You have to disassemble the face of the dashboard.. relatively easy, about 45 minutes.

I had the same problem with my 01 Impala and had to replace the catylitic converter worked like a charm I also had the same problem on my 01 and the Cat was plugged and then changed out, ran like a new car after that If you car is under 80,000 miles and less than 8 years of age GM will replace it for free as it is covered under the emissions warranty. This happened to mine at 75,000 this week and it now has power like it has never had before.

This is not for the faint of heart. You need to undo the engine and transaxle mounts, and hang the engine with a cherry picker. Then, you need to locate and pull all of the bolts for the cradle (frame) so the you can drop the frame out of the way. Or you can let a mechanic do it. haha.

horn relays are usually located within the engine compartment. they look nothing like a fuse but may be seated right nest to a 10 or amp fuse. they are .5inch X .5inch square. Usually if u look at the engin compartment fuse box cover it will tell u what each fuse/relay does, just like a box of chocolates.

It depends on the year. the 2000-2005 base model has 180 HP while the LS has 200, but the LS Sport has 210 HP (more tuned) The SS has 310 HP earlier years or later than this i am not familiar with.

I don't know on this paticular car, but there is probably a fuse block above the drivers left foot. That's where they are on most cars. The one for the windows should be marked or there is a chart in the owners manual. It could be one in the box under the hood that has fuses and relays in it. Most likely on the drivers side inner fender.

It don't have a timing chain and if it did it would out last the engine. It should have a timing belt and it should be replaced about 60 thousand miles.

Sorry I must disagree with my friend who is very knowledgable. The 3.5 Liter and 3.9 Liter Chevy V6 has a timing chain and not a belt. The chain will last the life of the engine.

If you have one with no keys, simply remove the passenger side door lock and take it to your local locksmith who can make a key from the 4 digit code stamped into it, for less than $25. That, or risk destroying the ignition switch trying to get it out of the dash with no key. Door lock easy, dash ignition switch with no key--very difficult.

I don't remember which six GM put in the 03 Impala....

If you have a 3800, it's behind the harmonic damper. If you have a 3100 or 3400 well... I would assume it's on the RH side of the block above the oilpan (facing the rear of the car) like on a 2.8L, but they never go bad on the 3100 or 3400 so I'm not entirely sure.

Most privately owned parts stores will do this for free if you buy the blades there.

You can view a diagram of the engine for a 2002 Chevrolet Impala at most Chevrolet dealerships. Many auto-parts stores will also have a diagram of the engine.

remove front wheel, remove complete brake assembly (2 15 mm bolts) remove brake disk, remove old wheel bearing bolts, 3 13mm bolts from rear side, disconnect antilock brake wire, remove center axle nut, 33mm, tap end of axle to loosen axle from bearing, remove bearing. install new bearing with center axle nut torque 120 lb, 13 mm bolts with 85 lb torque, install brake disk and wheel.

Check for bad relay. Comtacts in relay not opening......Kem H.
