Chrysler Sebring

My wife and I purchased a Sebring (1998) that had the same problem. We were told it is the chip in the key. The key needs to be replaced.

He could be refering to the spark plug wires. But wires could meen alot of things too.

Sounds like a fueling problem. Replace fuel filter, if problem persists, check fuel pressure.

Good fuel pressure does not always mean your fuel pump is good.

You need a fuel pressure tester with a relief valve. Connect tester, start and run engine. With engine running depress relief valve on tester. (make sure fuel runs into safe location).

With relieve valve depressed, if engine dies, you are not getting enough volume, and need to replace your fuel pump.

Look up in a Hollander interchange or ask local salvage yard.

1st thing to check is the spark. Remove a spark plug from the engine and plug it to the spark plug boot. Touch the plug to the cylinder head and crack the engine. Should see spark at the tip of the plug. If no spark, 2nd thing I would check is the crank position switch. It is located on the transaxle bell housing.

Hi, you have a relay problem. I would first try the relay that is the kill relay in case you are in a accident. It is located in the trunk of the car on the drivers side in the side wall. You have to pull off the carpet or plastic on that side and you will see the relay. That is seldom that it goes bad, but I am thinking that could be what is wrong with your car. Hope this helps

It all depends on the calibration of the fuel level sensor. In general, the light means that you only have a gallon or two of fuel left but that amount is different for each fuel tank.

If the Chrysler Sebring won't start after going through a puddle, the problem is probably that the starter relay switch got wet. This is not a common thing but if the starter relay was bad to begin with, moisture will make the problem worse. The starter relay is located on the starter.

which drain?? sunroof? wheelwells? This is a common problem, with a VERY easy fix... The reason this is happening is simple.... Chrysler's water drainage for Sebring ragtops is kinda weird. When your top is up, any water that hits the top of your car is routed - get this - through the quarterpanels... The water comes off the roof (in the rear) and goes through the quarters and thru a drain hole that is tiny-tiny-tiny... The drain hole is about as wide as a letter opener and, if you didn't know it was there, you wouldn't know it was there. On the underside of the vehicle on both the passenger and drivers side you'll see a rail that runs from the front to the rear of the car. There is a VERY small gap in this rail and that's where the water drains. To find yours, get someone to help you out - and get the water hose ready. Turn the water on VERY light and water your top. Turn the water off and check the underside of your car. Chances are that BOTH sides aren't clogged, so find where the water is coming from and then look in the same spot on the other side of the car to locate your clog. I use a letter opener to 'unclog' my drain and I do this religiously... If, after a rain, you can hear what sounds like a fishtank full of water slossing, you've got a clog. Any dirt, dust, pollen - small leaves - ANYTHING that is on the top that goes thru this drain system can clog it up. Simply unclog it using the above mentioned procedure will keep your insides dry. When this happened to me the first time, I thought I had left my window partially down or my door partially opened... From that point on, I made sure I kept my windows up and door closed... Then it happened again... When I moved my car (my driveway is partially slanted) I noticed water coming from underneath my car.... I made sure that this drain was fully flowing - and checked the other side - only to drain out what looked to be 10 gallons of water. If you're positive that it's teh ignition switch, the part is as low as $23 shipped - if you have a mechanic install it - he'll trouble shoot to make sure thats the part you need (being the problem), could cost you oup near $200 installed.

5w30 engine oil. Mopar ATF+4 trans fluid.

To set the compass, find a LARGE empty parking lot.

Drive counterclockwise around 10-12 mph; about the second revolution you'll see the compass go into "--" display; by the fifth or so you'll see it pick up the proper headings and you're done.

On the other hand, if it's like mine, there's a sensor somewhere that went out. I can drive in circles all day and no matter what, I'm still driving SW regardless of direction!

They are a garage door opener.

It uses red, five year, hoat type.

1-pull up on the e-brake

2-hit the "Top Up" button five times within two seconds. it must be done in two seconds or it wont work.

3-in about 30 seconds the top will begin to raise itself.

this is the emergency bypass system. Take it to a dealer ASAP to find the issue.

four for the four cylinder.

six for the six cylinder.

The idle is computer controlled and is not adjustable.

supposed to be 105,000 miles i would do it at like 90,000 to be safe, because it is an interference engine and if the belt brakes you will need a new engine.

real easy open the hood ,on top of the light are 2 screws 7MM on is about 1" long the other 5" long remove both screws now gently pull the light assembly out by lifting the bottom out side and pulling forward , it will take a little wiggling but it will come out. then remove the black collar around the light by turning loose the ring ,now pull the bulb strait out note how it is sitting in the hole. next do not touch the glass on the new bulb you skin oil will cause it to burn out much faster, insert bulb and reinstall in reverse order ,making sure the assembly is in so the long screw gos through the hole in the bottom on the light assembly tighten bolts and turn on lights TEST !your done .

It has a timing chain.

Key on engine off, press gas pedal to the floor three times, cycle key off and back on.
