Black is considered as the `absence of light', or the complete absorption of the visible spectrum, from which no light reflects.

In video projectors, the light is completely blocked from reaching the screen, creating the same effect. It appears to be black because you're usually watching it in a darkened room and in relation to the brighter areas on the screen, your mind perceives it as being black. In reality, if you were to look at the screen, you'd still see that there's no light hitting it to reflect back to your ryrs from the screen.

Using a 48 volt inverter on a 12 volt battery almost certainly won't work. In all likelihood, the inverter won't even try to "come up" and drive a load. Let's look at inverters and then figure out what's up. An inverter (in the "usual" sense) converts some fixed DC voltage to an AC voltage which, though it doesn't have exactly the same wave shape as the stuff coming out of a wall outlet, approximates it well enough in voltage and wave form to run, say, a blender out on a tailgate party somewhere. (That would be a 12 volt inverter with appropriate wattage and plugged into the car's lighter plug. Something like that.) The electronics takes the DC voltage and runs it through a "switch" or "chopper" to turn it on and off. The semiconductor device which does this has converted the DC to AC (but not exactly to an AC sine wave like on the power grid). The "chopped" AC is stepped up through a transformer and the appropriate output voltage is thus generated. A bit of "wave shaping" is accomplished along the way, and final result is something that can pass for "household" power and drive that blender for the tailgater we mentioned. So we have an inverter powering up an AC appliance. It's got appropriate wattage to drive the thing. But we're running off a battery. What happens when the battery starts to run out of "juice" while we're working with the blender? Well, as the stored energy drains down, the output voltage of the battery will sag or fall off. And at some point the inverter, because of the electronics package that controls it and what it is set up to do, will decide that the input voltage is "too low" and it will shut down the inverter. It's a design consideration that most inverters share. How does that affect our problem? Read on. Try to drive a 48 volt inverter with a 12 volt source and it's unlikely the inverter will even power up because the electronics control circuits will nix the drive to the switch as a "safety" consideration. You're dead in the water. That's arguably the most correct answer. But there is a ray of hope. Several, actually. Suppliers of the 48 volt inverter would be the solar power industry, the so-called "survival" supply industry, the golf car or electric vehicle industry or possibly the RV industry. Suppliers commonly vend inverters in 12, 24, 36 and 48 volt flavors. If you have a 48 volt inverter and want a 12 volt one, call a nearby company of one (or more) type and see if they'll make a trade. Odds are that they'd be happy to talk to you. Ask about an inverter that was a demo or one that was pulled from a system that was upgraded (and has been tested and deemed "good" by the shop). The bigger outfits usually have something in the "standby" or "backup" equipment locker. Run with those options and see what you can work out. Your inns of last resort may be eBay or Craig's list. hmmm have you installed all software re. to your pod you can send files via a usb wire to the pod, by using wmedia player or similar. read the instr. manual of the pod to see desc. procedure or search web. If you have "windows" you might have a media player which you would download the songs to the computer then transfer the songs off the computer by hooking your Ipod to the computer with a USB cable

All DynaTAC phones get unlocked with a 3-digit code. When the "Loc'd" screen shows, push in the 3-digit code and it will unlock. If the phone doesn't immediately unlock after pressing in the code, push "CLR" and try another one. Make sure to push "CLR" after every failed attempt.

I accidentally locked one one time (By pressing FCN+5. Never push that combination!) but happened to have the original box with the original phone number written on it. The last 3 digits of the phone number was the unlock code. I would try that first. If not, try 000 and 123.

If none of those work just start punching in all the possible combos from 000 to 999. Just 000, CLR, 001, CLR, 002, CLR etc. 'till you get to 999. There are only 1,000 combinations so you WILL get the phone unlocked eventually. It might take a few hours of tedious work but it WILL come unlocked with some 3-digit combo.

Those terms describe, in two different ways, the power output capability of an electrical device such as a music player or an amplifier.

Both refer to electrical power. Remember that AC is alternating current; the voltage and current changes over time (many times per second). Now, RMS literally means "root mean square"; it is a kind of average power. This is the actual power output of an equipment.

PMPO is a figure that is inflated, to get higher figures for audio equipment - for advertising purposes. It is not standardized, and different manufacturers can use different definitions - often definitions that are not published. The PMPO power is usually many times higher than the real (RMS) power, so that you have the ridiculous situation that an equipment uses 50 watts, and has an output of several 100 watts, for example. (Not possible with actual power, due to conservation of energy.)

Usually, since most printers like the ones you mentioned just use ordinary copy paper. The inkjet and laserjet are just two different names for the same thing by different manufacturers. SilverSong: I disagree, I know that if you put inkjet paper in a laserjet you can ruin your laserjet heads because they specifically require special laserjet paper. Now if you own an inkjet and you want to save some money, you can buy laser jet paper and feed it through your inkjet. It'll work and it won't ruin your inkjet printer. It's a great way to save $4.00 per sheaf if you use a lot of paper. But, it should be noted this only works for regular paper, I have no expertise on doing the same with specialty papers like glow in the dark, metallics, or some of the other more fancy paper films out there.

The only thing you can do is pull the battery and restart it. Call your provider and tell them about it. They may have a firmware update for you, or may want the details to get the problem fixed.

I had the same problem yesterday on a credit card yesterday. I think it is the 3200, I am home so I cannot look at the machine. You do not have to feed it through a hole; simply replace the orange spindle in the new credit card roll, drop it in, leave a little paper outside, shut the cover, and hit the advance button on the left. Tear off the extra and you should be ready to go.
