Ubiquitous computing is essentially the term for human interaction with computers in virtually everything we do. This is future phase beyond the desktop and notebook environment that we are currently in. Ubiquitous computing would involve objects interacting all around you providing feedback or adjusting based upon previously configured settings.
An example might be a home environment that adjusts as you enter a room. The lighting and temperature might adjust to your comfort level or a coffee maker may start to brew a cup of coffee just the way you like it in the morning. In a city environment in a heat wave the city electric grid may adjust power levels going into homes and businesses to avoid a power outage or to adjust power costs up to lower demand.

Do microwaves explode when empty?
No. Your microwave will never explode unless you put something explosive in it. Microwaves are actually very safe.
However, you never ever ever want to turn your microwave on for more than 10-20 seconds with nothing in it, not if you don't want to buy a new microwave. The radio waves generated by the magnetron will feed back into it, causing it to vibrate and greatly will reduce its lifespan. Just don't do it. Why would you want to anyway?

It is not a question of Class 3 being "better" or "worse" than Class 2. Different classes are more suited than others for different applications. A Class 3 Laser is more powerful than a Class 2 laser, and so offers more opportunities to cause injury while being used.

Assuming that you're meaning that the clock isn't keeping proper time but instead, both hands are turning at a constant rate, the clock is either defective or it's receiving some other source which is causing the clock to misbehave. One thought is that one of the time set buttons is stuck if it doesn't have a manual adjust knob.
If it's a processor controlled clock, you might want to remove the power for awhile and then either plug it back in, or replace the batteries. The removal of power is what's generally called a `hard reset' and should cause the micro to reset itself.

Can you use a 12 volt transformer on a 10 volt appliance?
Yes you can, as long as they have the nearly the same output voltage it doesn't really matter. It is even more important to check three other things:
* that the amperage (current) drawn by the appliance is not greater than the rated output amperage shown on the transformer's label or rating plate;
* that the transformer or power supply unit produces an output that is the same kind as that required by the appliance. For instance, if the appliance requires a dc (direct current) supply it will not work on a power supply unit producing only ac (alternating current);
* if the power supply produces a dc output, be sure to check that the polarity ("+" and "-") of the power supply plug's inner and outer connections matches exactly what the appliance requires. If they are the wrong way round the appliance may not work or could even be damaged.
If you have them, it is best to check the rating plates of both the original power supply unit and the other one you are thinking of using, as well as the appliance's user handbook, to see exactly what voltage (ac or dc) and what amperage is required.

In most cases Mac's are more reliable and faster than PC's and will last longer, as well as easier to use.

No, the voltage of the replacement adapter must always be IDENTICAL to the original adapter and the current of the replacement adapter must be the same or larger than the original adapter.
Trying to use a 9 Volt adapter to replace a 5 Volt adapter will almost certainly completely destroy the device the moment you plug it in.
You did not say whether the adapters provided AC or DC or the polarity if DC. Either way both the replacement adapter and the original adapter must be IDENTICAL in this respect.
Can 240 volts be converted to 110 volts?
Yes , with a step down transformer. 240 volts into the primary side H1 and H2 which is stepped down to 120 volts on the secondary side, X1 and X2.

THIS IS SAMMY, HERE.Since I asked the question, I should share the answer which I BELIEVE I've found.
it was caused by my having checked 'FLEXIBLE BUTTONS". After I unchecked it, my screen seem to be back to normal.So unless you know what this '" FLEXIBLE BUTTONS' option is, leave it unchecked.
I got to this option by right clicking on my browserthen properties. Thanks !
