This depends on the condition of the vehicle along with which model and accessories such as t-tops or louvers. If it is completely stock from the factory, no rust, and in great shape, it's possible they could sell for up to $40,000. Now if it is in poor shape, say rust and mechanical problems, then roughly $500 give or take depending on how bad it is.

Does your engine have a mechanical fuel pump bolted to the engine? If so, your problem could be a ruptured diaphragm in the pump leaking gasoline into the oil pan. Check the oil level after a few miles. If the oil seems way too thin, or the level is increasing, this could be your problem. Replacing the fuel pump should solve the problem.

as for the 720 having 2 coils one runs the intake side and the other runs the exaust side even though they wire into one dist cap being a 4 cylinder with 8 plugs 4 on intake and 4 on exaust

Yes, but it is very hard unless you remove the entire fuel rail. Be sure to use actual fuel hose and proper clamps for pressurized line. (also, hold your mouth just right)

remove the belt, unhook all of the wires, unbolt the bolts, try a pry bar to unwedge it if wedged then it should just come off

It's been years since I've done it but I remember having to take the entire spindle and rotor assembly to town and having them pressed apart with a hydraulic press. I tried everything I possibly could in my garage to the extent of rigging up a bottle jack and the spindle in the middle of the door frame of my garage to try to press them apart but of course I destroyed the door frame!

Use a press, it's the only way.

A 1981 720 ute is a Datsun L18 engine. It will not be legal to fit such an engine into a 1989 vehicle as it won't meet pollution requirements (the reverse is allowed). Although I know nothing about Navara utes, the L series engine was discontinued before 1989. Z and L seies engines do not interchage with each other's gear boxes, though a full transplant my be possible.

Yes , that is exactly the combination i have in my Datsun 1600 sprint car. The gearbox hole inside the car has been modified to allow for it, ie chopped out some and raised with a metal cowling. Burls

I too would like to know the answer to this question. We have a 1971 Datsun Pick-up that we would like to sell but have no idea how much to ask for it. It could be worth quite a bit as a classic, or could be worth next to nothing due to it's condition.
