What is the difference between a light base and regular latex paint?
The primary difference between Deep-Base and Medium-Base paint is the amount of room there is can to allow for tint to be added into. Example, most paint companys allow for 12-14 ounces of colorant for a Deep-Base and 8-12 ounces of colorant for a Medium-Base. When painting with deep base colors such there is a slightly different application approach to take than when working with lighter colors. This is because the tint base used for these colors lacks white pigment (titanium dioxide). Titanium dioxide is what gives a paint hide and coverage; without white pigment the paint must be built up or layered with multiple coats. Deep base colors can take 3 or more coats for full coverage. In addition to this, many deep base colors also require a tinted primer in order to help with hide and coverage.

Be willing to accept a paler version of the colour you have your heart set on. If you want a black room it takes several coats of paint to get it there, and several to remove it when the time comes for change. Consider painting the walls a medium to dark grey and using accessories, (furniture, linens, window coverings, etc.) to bring your colour in. This works as well with royal purple, hunter green, red or any other deep intense colour.

There are, however, are any number of things you can do.
The room will need to be prepared. You can clean it, pack all the extraneous bits into boxes, help to move the furniture either out of the room or into the center of it. This is the best time to reposition any furniture you may want to move so have a good idea where you want things, and that they will actually fit use a measuring tape and graft paper to figure this out. No one enjoys moving furniture repeatedly because the person planning the room is unprepared.
- And finally, promise faithfully you will maintain the room in good order, and follow through.
Keep it clean, pick up after yourself, make your bed (there is little that will spoil the look of a nice room as much as a messy bed), take pride in your new room and show it.
Saying thank you, and giving credit where credit is due will go a long way with your parents. So instead of saying, "Look at my new room!" try saying, "Look at the way my father painted my room for me!"

AnswerThere is no way to change the color of the illumination on the instrument panel.This guy says you can but I tried hitting this button on my Mazda 3 and it only changed the brightness of the light, not the color!
Actually, you can only change from red to blue when the lights are on, it doesn't work with the lights off.

For all of you out there that are saying there is too much red accent have you pressed the button above the tack to turn it BLUE? It looks alot better and much easier on the eyes at night. I live in Minnesota where it snows and gets cold so it will be interesting how the car handles.
