It depends on the case weather or not if affects the parents and how much it affects them. In most cases though I'd say the person with the disorder suffers far more.

Bulimics force themselves to purge or throw up the food after they eat. It is not just a bad reaction to food that makes them get sick (like an allergy or food poisoning), they purposefully throw up.

I eat and eat and eat all day whether its healthy foods or not. I sometimes even eat more then my father. HOWEVER, i have yet to become fat. I honestly do not understand how i am not at least three hundred pounds by now. But that is just my body.

Depending on how old you are and also depending on if your a male or a female, #1. you could still be growing and your body is absorbing the foods you eat quickly and turning into energy rather then fat.

#2. Even one day of the week of being active is something that could keep you somewhat in shape, and therefore skinny.

#3. if your looking like a skeleton or exactly like an anorexic person, then a doctor may need to come into the picture. unless one already has. but if you don't look like a skeleton then you should be thankful that you are a naturally skinny person and not someone who will gain two pounds off of one cream filled doughnut. :)

If you haven't had any health problems by now, you probably wont in the future unless you get even more skinnier, which is probably very unlikely.

dd ... simply put no. Not if your generally healthy and the reason for your thinness is just because that's the way you've always been. If you've recently lost alot of weight and you just havent been hungry there could be an underlying medical condition resulting in loss of appetite you should see your doctor about this. if its just stress I suggest you think about the things happening in your life and talk to someone you trust if you have a problem.

If your just naturally thin but have no problems eating and arent over exercising then you wont have health problems. Health problems associated with eating disorders are not caused by the low weight or loss of weight its caused by the METHOD of the weight loss/gain/frequent flucations (starvation, excessive exercise, purging [vomiting, laxatives, diuretics, ipecac], and binging) this causes electrolyte imbalances, muscle and fat wasting, bone deterioration, malnutrition that's why people with eating disorder get physically sick, its not just because they are thin (most often they are normal or over weight).

because there isn't enough fuel to keep it pumping, your body needs energy to do everything it does. if you stopped eating you would be missing out on vital carbohydrates, causing a loss of energy. by the time your heart fails from starvation you would probably not be able to walk more than a few steps.

You can not "turn" anorexic, it is a disease not a diet. Please don't even try go down that path and involve yourself in anorexic behaviors. It is not worth it. Do you want to be a walking zombie? I'm not even a stick yet but my hair is falling out my teeth are horrible I have no energy bags under my eyes horrible nails and lots of other things and I'm not even at my goal weight yet. I can hardly make it through training. I almost pass it every time. It is not worth it.

Don't starve yourself! Here's a tip, eat slowly... How? Eat all of your food with chopsticks. Budget your food so that you can only finish after fifteen minutes from the time you started your meal. Eat only three times a day, with the food amounting only to two cups per meal. If you're hungry, and it's not yet time to eat, drink protein or fruit shakes, make it at home, and don't put bags of sugar, put only three in one glass. Or better yet, substitute sugar with honey, so that you can have no limits. One more thing, one glass of water before you eat, drink it slowly. Drink water after four bites of food while you're eating. It's more advisable to substitute water with fruit juices, just make it yourself, don't add sugar, just honey. That's that.. And if you ask, I'm not a doctor, thank you very much... You might lose all that weight for about three weeks or so, less if you exercise. But to be honest, I don't like to exercise. All I can say is that I think you don't need to lose the pounds, what is your height? I'm just fifteen, and I'm from the Philippines...
