The flag of Sweden (Swedish: Sveriges flagga) is blue with a yellow Scandinavian cross that extends to the edges of the flag. The design and colours of the Swedish flag are believed to have been inspired by the present Coat of arms of Sweden of 1442, which is blue divided quarterly by a cross pattée of gold, and modelled on the Danish flag. Blue and yellow have been used as Swedish colours at least since king Magnus Birgersson's royal coat of arms of 1275.

Interesting question, with quite a shocking answer. The three stars represent the highest rating that the US international team can possibly hope for on any future FIFA console game. The stripes represent nothing, they are just there because the logo designer was unimaginative and couldn't be arsed to stray far from the stars and stripes of the American flag. And the snake, I find most bemusing of all. Apparently, the snake represents both the prestidigitation and the insecurity of the US as a nation.
