Ford escape hybrid oil filter location?
The oil filter is actually in the front of the engine, in the center and facing directly down. The reason it is hard to spot is that it doesn't look like a regular oil filter. It has a permanent metal housing with a screw-off black plastic cap, and you replace the filter element inside.
The cap is black plastic with a metal screw hole in the center. If you look carefully at the black cap, you'll see it has the moldings to fit a oil filter wrench.

How do you change the air filter on a Ford Escape?
Towards the battery on the driver's side there's a large plastic box that has 2 metal latches like on an old fashioned suitcase. Open those up and you can see you've split the seam to the air filter housing. Next, towards the bottom where you can't see there are a couple black plastic latches molded into the plastic housing that hold the two halves of the air box together. Pry those up and pull the two halves apart. This should give you just enough room to slide the air filter up and out. Be sure to put the new one in the same direction (metal screen pointed outboard toward driver's front wheel). If you need more wiggle room you can loosen the hose clamp in between the air box and the engine.

How much does it cost to replace the battery in a Ford Escape hybrid?
The Ford Escape Hybrid carries two batteries: a standard low-voltage battery and a high-voltage hybrid battery.
The low voltage battery is an ordinary vehicular 12 volt battery used to power the starter motor. It should only be replace with a specific battery from your dealer. i found out this the hard way when AAA came out to replace the battery with a standard one and my car started to have issues. only replace from dealer!!
The high voltage hybrid battery, however, is another matter entirely. Currently, the new battery and the labor to install it into the vehicle's high voltage power bus is approximately $7,000.
Hybrid batteries are designed to function for the life of the car, usually for 150,000 to 200,000 miles before requiring replacement, and battery failures are statistically uncommon. If you believe your battery system is having difficulties, the high-voltage power bus should be run through diagnostics by a Ford dealer to determine the source of any problems. Ford typically guarantees its hybrid batteries for eight years, so your vehicle should fall under the warranty rules for replacement should the need arise. Consult your dealer for more information.
Why would a front tire blow out and seconds later a back tire blow out?
If the back tire that blew out was on the same side of the car as the front tire that blew out, then it's possible that perhaps you may have ran over glass and
it almost instantaniously blew the front tire out but it took a couple seconds for the glass to work it's way into the back tire. But then again you would have more than likely seen the glass in the tires when you checked them.
Another possibility is that you may have ran over a nail with your front tire and then it flew out and went straight into the back tire but then wiggled loose from that tire and was long gone.
Although, the most reasonable answer would have to be that possibly the tubes in your tires were old and deteriorated and popped.

How much oil do you buy to change oil in 2008 ford escape?
I have an 05 escape that takes 6 quarts, but it should till you in your owners manual.
If your putting 6 quarts of oil in your 05 escape hybrid your doing it wrong. the '05 FEH only takes 4.5 quarts of synthetic 5W20, and says so in your manual.
What is the tire rotation pattern on a BMW X5?
== == BMW does not recommend tire rotation. The BMW shop manual states: The tread wear patterns at the front end
differ from those at the rear - the actual
patterns will vary according to individual
driving conditions. In the interests
of safety and maintaining optimal
handling characteristics, BMW does not
recommend tire rotation.
If you feel you must rotate the tires, they can only be rotated from front to back and back to front. This is because the tire flexes a certain way when on one side of the car, and a different way when on the other side. This difference causes the tire to wear a certain way when driven on one side of the vehicle and may adversely affect the handling (not dangerously, just not BMW perfect) when rotated to the other side. Please note that if your X5 has staggered tires (different size tires and/or wheels on the front vs the rear), then you should not perform any tire rotation at all.
If you cannot shift with your foot on the brake, your vehicle's neutral shift interlock may have failed. This is a safety device that prevents the vehicle from being put in gear unless the driver's foot is on the brake. This system is an electronic circuit, and a failure anywhere in the system can prevent you from shifting into gear from either Park or Neutral.
Newer Escapes have an override built in. You will need a small flat-bladed screwdriver to activate the override.
To the right of the shifter handle is a small rectangular access cover, approximately 1 cm by 0.75 cm. Remove this cover. Inside is a small intermittent switch. Put your foot on the brake. Use the point of the screwdriver to depress the switch and, with the switch depressed, attempt to shift the vehicle into gear. If the vehicle does shift into gear, take it to the dealer for service; your shift interlock will probably require a fuse or relay replacement. If the vehicle still will not shift, the transmission system may be malfunctioning. Contact your dealer for service.
Details and diagrams of the neutral shift interlock override and its operation can be found in your owner's manual.
