From the info given my initial thought is that you have a bad Positive Crankcase Venitalation (PCV) valve. Could be one or tow other things, but I'd check your PCV valve first. Where is the door lock relay in a 94 Chevy Silverado?

inside the door

Not sure. I have a 1993 Chevy Silverado (K1500) ext cab 4x4, and I cannot find mine. Came across several different answers:

1. Factory relays above gas pedal - NO relays in my truck above gas pedal

2. Look inside drivers side dash speaker - nope, nothing inside

3. Look in dirver's door - no relays, just wiring

4. Some vehicles that old don't have relays - beginning to suspect

Been all up under driver's side dash and can't find it. Wish I could because trying to finish alarm/keyless/remote install. everything good but door locks. good luck.

How do you install a serpentine belt on a 1990 Lincoln Continental?

Observe how the belt runs across the pulleys. Now find the belt tensioner( it has a pulley and is usually located toward the top of the belt pathway). The belt tensioner is spring loaded and they have a provision for a 1/2" or 3/8 ratchet to be inserted to pry to relieve the tension in order to remove the belt. At this point remove the belt and reinstall the new one.If your model does not have this provision, a tool by the LISLE company is available at NAPA stores for belt removal. I hope this helps you. Mark

All stepps above are correct except: There is no sprin on this model year. There is a nut behind the idler pully arm that must be loosend. then the tention will be relieved. retighten the nut while prying with a 1/2' ratchet or breaker bar.

How do you fix siezed brakes?

If the brakes are disc brakes then try opening the bleed screws on the calipers and see if the pressure releases if not then remove the calipers and replace because the piston is probably frozen or you can try pushing in the piston with a c-clamp,if that doesnt work replace the calipers as noted. If the brakes are drum brakes then check your brake cylinders to see if they are leaking if so you can usually rebuild them if not then replace them and bleed your brake system to get brakes back to normal, you can also make sure your drum brakes are adjusted correctly.

Where is the fuel pump located in a ford excursion?

FOR DIESELS=The fuel pump is located on the frame rail on the drivers side of 2002 and newer models for sure. I'm not sure of the exact cut off year though. some older models locate them above the fuel tanks and are a pain to get to. if you slide under the vehicle just behind the drivers door look up into the drivers side frame rail on the side of the frame rail that is closer to the center of the vehicle. it is wraped in a black foam boot and it has wires coming from it. you can see the fuel line coming out of either end. One leading back to the tank and one going towards the engine. fuel pumps on older models is located on top of the fuel tank. You must drop the tank in order to get to it. If yours is 2001 or older It is probably located above the tank. Check to be sure though check the rail like I explained above before removing the fuel tank! FOR GAS= Check the frame rail. If not, so..sorry it's above the gas tank Hope this helps, any questions Cory@wingsxtreme.com

How do you install the serpentine belt on a 1992 Chevy Lumina 3.1?

Look at all the pulleys and you'll see one that isn't really connected to anything like the power steering unit, alternator, water pump or the engine. It's connected only to an "arm". This arm is spring loaded and is what provides the "tension" to the belt. If I recall, there's a nub that you can put an adjustable wrench on and use the wrench as "leverage" to swing the arm and release the tension. Then with your other hand, get the loosened belt off of the alternator pulley first (since it's a small pulley and it's right on top). Now you can release the arm since you have the belt started and the rest is elementary. Reinstall the same way...get it almost all the way on exept for on the alternater, pry the arm to give slack, slip over the alternator last and you're done. This belt is grooved with an exect number of grooves. This grooves match grooves on all the pulleys. Make sure the belt is lined up in all the grooves-especially the very bottom pulley...the crankshaft-it's the one most likely to be not quite on because it's hard to see while you're prying with the wrench.
