The answer is simple. The block heater is probably in the 500 - 800 watt range. If it came on new car, your dealer should be able to tell you what wattage it is. KAT'S is known brand and can be purchace at http://www.partsamerica.com/BrandCategories.aspx?MfrCode=FIV stores The 15 amp curcuit you are plugging block heater into has nothing to do with the wattage of the heater. It is only a curcuit breaker that trips if more the 1800 watt is applied to it.

Where is the turn signal flasher located on a 2002 ford excursion?
Flasher relay is located right above the OBD port. This relay has a dual functions all in one relay. It controls the emergency flashers and the turn signals as well. It's a very complex relay because it actually has a micro chip inside of it!!! That's pretty complex for a simple relay if you ask me. So turn on the signals or flashers hopefully one function still works because yes one function can be inoperative and other work fine. You should hear it clicking behind the dash a little right of the instrument cluster. You can get to it from under the dash just be careful because their are 2 relays right next to each other and the one you want is the BLUE one. NOT the black one. If you opt to do it up to the dash and radio will have to be removed to gain complete access.
Where do you find the block heater on a ford F 350?
The block heater connection is on the passenger side of the block, just above the freeze plugs, you will need the cable that runs out to the grill/bumper. Every newer diesel has this heater just some were not equipped with the cable, it is an option.
Hope this helps.

Where is the door lock relay on a 2000 F-150?
On a 2000 Ford F-150, the door lock relay is typically located in the under-dash fuse panel, which is found on the driver's side of the vehicle, near the steering column. You may need to remove the cover of the fuse panel to access the relays. The specific relay for the door locks can usually be identified by a diagram on the panel cover or in the owner's manual. If you're having trouble locating it, consulting the manual can provide more detailed guidance.
