I have never seen a listing for a diesel Ford Explorer SUV since they started manufacturing them in 1990 as 1991 models in the U.S.A.

Your local auto parts dealer typically stocks a cooling system flush bib that will connect your garden hose to back flush the heater core. Disconnect both the heater hoses at the firewall (they are located behind the A/C condensor on the passenger side of the car) and connect the kit you picked up from your Auto Parts dealer.

It has ( one oxygen sensor ) on the 1991 and 1992 Ford Explorers

Just push the button in the middle of the dash above the climate controls. There should be 2 buttons. 1 says "4X4" the other says "low range". You want to push the one that says 4X4. I'm a proud owner of a 92 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer.

You will have to be in neutral to get it to go into low 4x4.

I have a 2000 and just spent an hour so I thought I would share. You need to take off the plastic grill piece to access the retaining pins - the retaining screw on top of the front and then I had to remove the blinker assembly to get the 2 retaining screws there. One those are off, there are 2 screws and one spring.

Go to www.autozone.com and click on repair information, and then component location. They will have the location listed.

Fuses are under the hood, behind the little door left of the dashboard with the door open, and under the rear seat.

The 2005 Ford Explorer has the most common hook-end wiper arms on both front and rear. See sources and related links below for installation videos. Also, purchase the replacement blades first and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

On a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis :

The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is located in the trunk , on the drivers side of the trunk , behind the trunk liner ( there is an access hole )

If you don't smell gas or see any gas leaking , push the button DOWN that has popped up on the top of the switch

Turn your ignition key to the RUN position for a few seconds and then turn your ignition key to the OFF position

Make another check for the smell of gas or any gas leaking , if none , go ahead and start the engine

do you mean the distributor cap ? It doesn't have a distributor , it is EDIS ( electronic distributorlless ignition system ) It has a coil pack with 6 towers on it. The COIL PACK TOWERS are numbered : coil---3---4 pack--2---6 plug---1---5

I'm pretty sure these have chains not belts for the timing. i'm positive that they are a chain you don't need to replace it unless you pass 300k miles. but would be pointless cause it won't last that long.

Everything points to the transmission being rebuilt or replaced. The reverse band broke, came loose etc.

It is a moving violation in CA to drive with a broken passenger side-view mirror. It is important to get it fixed ASAP.

ran my 95 ford explorerout of gas and i replaced the fuel filter but she doesnt want o start and then when it does it doesn't want to stay running without reving and it still bogs down

The most likely answer is that he disconnected a wire that he did not reconnect. You should take it back to the shop and let him reconnect it. He will know exactly where that wire is because he has done it many times.
