The 2010 Ford F-150 has a 4-speed automatic.

The dump truck contains a hydraulically power controlled cylinder that expands as fluid is injected, resulting in the "dump" trailer lifting from the frame of the vehicle. This system is referred to as a PTO, or Power Take-Off.

Assuming you are only talking Ford Explorer SUV's and not Sport Tracs...

1991 - 1994:

-Was boxy-like

-Front grill was square

-Leather interior was rare, mostly cloth

-Chrome bumpers (Except for the 1994 Limited)

-Limited and some Eddie Bauer had side-step

-Available Models were

-Rectangular Fog Lamps

1995 - 2001:

-First major redesign

-Box-like grill was replaced with a rounded Ford grill assembly, very easy to spot

-Design was more rounded off, or "curvy"

-Leather interior more common

-Rectangular Fox Lamps

2002 - 2005:

-Began to look more like a Ford Expedition (Almost identical smaller version of it)

-Grill was mesh-like, with the blue Ford Oval in the middle

-Most likely leather interior

-Rounded Fog Lamps towards the middle of the truck, rather than on the outside edges of the bumper as in previous models

2006 - Now

-Box-like fog lamps

-Unique headlights, square with a slight dash for styling

-Modern design, very distinguishable.

On a 1994 Ford Explorer :

The modulator valve for the A4LD automatic transmission is on the passenger

side of the transmission ( I believe it is behind a heat shield )

red and orange wire go closest to each other the other wire go to the farthest peg

All Ford F100's from 1956 forward were 12 volt Negative ground.

When the vehicle is shut off and locked up , the flashing theft light shows that the

alarm system is armed

You can see one end of the Powertrain Control Module from the engine compartment

It passes through the firewall , most of the PCM is " hidden " behind the glove

compartment but you can see where the wiring harness is bolted to the end of the

PCM on the firewall over towards the passenger side of the engine compartment

On top of the drivers side Frame Rail just ahead of the cab mount

I have a 93 so it should be the same take out the jockybox and you should see a black panel there are some wires you will need to unplug and a little black box the srews are 7mm and 8mm you will need a 8 mm wrench also. Its alittle tricky but dont give up it will come out with out taking the whole dash

To do this correctly you need an OBDII reader. The reader will read the code and then give you the option to clear it. Most parts stores will have one they can loan you or do it for you.

Try by steering column in or near fuse panel

Either a warped head and blown headgasket or a cracked head.

An intake gaslet will also blow and let it in on a 4.3. I had it happen.

Most commonly the flasher - usually located in or near the fuse box - perhaps at the left lower side of the dash by the steering column it just plugs in
