How would youwould use a wet-bulb thermometer and a dry-bulb thermometer to find the relative humidity?

USE as the air passes over the wet bulb thermometer the water in the cloth evaporates. as the water evaporates the cloth cools. if the humidity is low the water will evaporate more quickly and the...

What will happen if a technician uses a sling psychrometer that has a perfectly dry wick on the wet-bulb thermometer?

If a dry wick is present the temperature shown on both thermometers will be the same. This data, when entered into the psychrometric chart, will indicate that the air has 100% relative humidity.

What is the wet-bulb depression if the dry bulb is 20 and the wet bulb is 17?

The wet-bulb depression is 3°C (20°C - 17°C). It represents the difference between the dry-bulb temperature and the wet-bulb temperature, indicating the maximum potential cooling that can be achieved through evaporation.

What does the dry bulb and the wet bulb do?

Wet bulb thermometer is a regular thermometer but the base that is the part where the mercury get stored is kept in some wet condition depend on the humidity level you want to check and then we are checking the environmental temperature. It mainly used for scientific purposes and not for regular use.

Dry bulb is our regular thermometer where the mercury storage point is kept dry.

How does the difference between the dry bulb temperature and the wet bulb temperature to the relative humidity?

When the humidity in the surrounding air is low, the water in the wet cloth wrapped around the bulb of the "wet bulb" thermometer evaporates quicker, giving lower reading on that thermoneter, thus widening the gap between the wet bulb and dry bulb temperatures. The lower the humidity in the air, the quicker the evaporation, the lower the "wet bulb temperature".

What happens when the wet and dry bulb thermometers are close together?

When the wet and dry bulb thermometers are close together, it indicates that the air is close to being saturated with moisture. This can help determine the relative humidity of the air. If the readings are the same, it means the air is fully saturated and the relative humidity is 100%.

What can you assume about the amount of water vapor in the air if there is no difference between the wet and dry bulb readings of a psychrometer?

If there is no difference between the wet and dry bulb readings of a psychrometer, it indicates that the air is saturated with water vapor (relative humidity is 100%). This means that the air cannot hold any more moisture, and any additional moisture would result in condensation.

What is derived lipid?

Derived lipids are molecules that result from the breakdown of complex lipid structures, such as triglycerides, phospholipids, and cholesterol esters. Examples of derived lipids include fatty acids, glycerol, steroids, and eicosanoids. These molecules play important roles in various physiological processes in the body.

What is the temperature of an imax 3D light bulb?

Bulbs of the movie theater type are large high pressure xenon DC arc lamps. To ask what temperature they are does not make much sense. The arc itself is 600 K. The lamp envelope is quartz or sapphire and while it would certainly sizzle your finger, the temperature depends on the cleanliness of the bulb, the cooling airflow, the wattage, the type of lamp and the age of the lamp.

They are 15kW lamps. Imax projectors use 2 of them.

Each lamp produces 600,000 lumens. If you put a log in front of it, it would spontaneously combust...

Asking the temperature of the lamp makes a lot of sense. The 600k that you mention should be 6000k and is the colour temperature and has nothing to do with the actual temperature of the lamp whilst operating. It is merely the best way to describe the colour of the light when compared to the black body locus on the CIE Chromaticity Map.

The clear quartz glass jacket of the lamp has an operating surface temperature of about 1,300 degrees. To prevent the lamp from overheating, it has coolant "jackets" that allow cool distilled water to be pumped around the electrodes at a rate of a little over 30 litres per minute at about 100 psi. In addition, an exhaust fan removes about 34 cubic metres of air per minute from the lamp housing.

Does the wet bulb thermometer on a WBGT have to be wetted with distilled water?

Yes, the wet bulb on a Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) device should be wetted with distilled water to ensure accurate readings. Using distilled water helps prevent any impurities that may affect the measurement. It ensures the wet bulb accurately reflects the evaporative cooling effect.

How do you open the fuel filler door on a Geo Prizm where is the switch or release?

On the Geo Prizm, the fuel filler door can be opened using a lever located on the driver's side floor area. Look for a lever near the driver's seat or on the lower left side of the dashboard to release the fuel filler door. Once you locate the lever, pull it to pop open the fuel filler door.

Why are there so many spanish speakers in the US?

Many Latin Americans immigrate to the United States and the majority of them speak Spanish as their first language.

The US has had immigration from a number of Spanish-speaking areas, notably Latin America (which was colonized by Spain) including Mexico and Puerto Rico (a US commonwealth). The Southwest US especially has many Spanish-speaking residents, some newly arrived but some descended from the original settlers of Greater Mexico in the 17th and 18th centuries.

How do you replace the alternator belt on a 96 geo prizm?

Under the front side of the alternator when you are facing the engine from the front. There is a bolt about 10mm. It is long and skinny. Loosen that and eventually it will give the belt the slack it needs. (WARNING : DO NOT LOOSEN ALL THE WAY, i made this mistake and unless you want to cut up your hands getting it back together, just don't)

Then you have to loosen the larger bolt on the very top that the alternator pivots off of.

Once that is done simply pull out the belt(careful to see what tracks it was in first) and slip on the new one.

now tighten the skinny bolt and then the top one and you are done~!

How do you change power steering pressure hose on a 1993 geo prizm?

I just had this aggravating repair myself. To start off, I'm going to say I'm a female with little knowledge of cars. What I did was removed the wiper motor and it gave free access to the steering rack. It was relatively easy, just a bit time consuming. I was quoted $170 for this repair plus tax. The hose is 36.99 at autozone. Do it yourself and save some serious cash!

Previous answer:

I just actually did this myself today. The easiest and most likely only way to change it is to, remove the brake proportion valve assembly from the brake booster. then with some patience remove the hose from the rack and pinion with a 18mm wrench. the removal from the reservoir is fairly easy, just use a 3/4" wrench on the hose half and a 5/8" on the solid metal line half. !

How can you set up the clock in 1992 geo prizm?

those one books that come with the car (as long as someone hasn't taken it out) also known as the manual can really come in handy... especially with your question.i don't know off hand which is why i cant answer, but i know the manual tells you

My '96....has the factory Delco radio/cassette unit. On the front panel, on the lower right side, are two push buttons labeled H (for hour) and another labeled M (for minute) These adjust theclock display when you push and hold them for a second or so. The reason for having to hold them,is so a casual bump to the switch won't change the time. You really have to WANT to adjust the clock.

How do you replace the alternator on a 1992 Geo Prizm?

Disconnect the battery. Unplug the alternator and take the belts off. Unbolt the alternator, and bolt the new one in. Put the belts back on it. Plug it back in and reconnect the battery. Voila! You changed your own alternator!

Where is the speed sensor located on a 91 geo prizm?

i have a 1996 Mazda protege and it is at the rear of the transmission if you're looking from the front drivers side. it is almost directly under the throttle position sensor which is located on the rear of your throttle body close to the firewall (almost directly in the center of the engine compartment).

Where is the starter relay switch on a 1994 Geo Prism?

The 1995 Pontiac Grand Am starter relay switch can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The starter relay switch will be on the drivers side of the firewall.

How do remove the starter in a 95 geo prism?

This starter is directly under the fuel injector bar. It is virtually impossible to remove it from below but because you can touch it, that is a temptation. Don't try it! You are going to have to remove the fuel rail to get that starter out. Different shops quote varying prices but I opted for Pep Boys at $ 89.00 plus tax (and that included the rebuilt starter).
