Never, as this truck does not have a timing belt but instead uses a cam chain that will normally last the life of the engine.

There are usually two of these sensors, both are located on your exhaust system, one before the catalytic converter and one after the catalytic converter.

Down the automatic transmission dipstick tube.

the O2 sensors are located under the car on the exhaust system. It looks like a large bolt with a wire coming out of the top. The one before the cat (bank 1 sensor 2) is in a funky place, and you will need to remove the heat shield around the exhaust pipe. This is 5 bolts- 4 take a 12mm wrench and one takes a 10mm wrench (?!)- whatever. Use a bunch of WD40 and let them soak for a little while, because they will be rusted and stuck. You won't be able to completely remove the top of the heat shield, but once it is loose you can get to the O2 sensor. Use a crescent wrench (or appropriate size metric wrench- I think it is a 20 or 21mm wrench), and gently give the O2 sensor a little twist. Now, go back up top and disconnect the cable that leads to it... it is under the right (passenger) side of the air filter housing. Look for the green inner CV joint and that's where the cable is. The connector has a grey plastic piece that flips back a little and releases the sensor half of the connector. Undo the connectors, go back under the car, and finish unscrewing the old sensor. Reverse the procedure to reinstall. I just followed the instructions above on a 2001 Forester and they proved accurate. I would add just a few points. On my Forester there were five 12mm bolts on the heat shield. Also apply WD40 around the old oxygen sensor gasket because the sensor may not break loose easily. After applying the WD40 go off and have a coffee, as I found it took at least 15 minutes to penetrate. Even so, I found I needed one good rap with a lead hammer on an open ended wrench to free the sensor. Significant hint: when disconnecting the cable connector, loop a string around the sensor plug before letting it drop down in order to remove it. You can then use this string to bring the new sensor cable up via the same route as the old one went. Also, definitely put anti-sieze compound on those heat shield bolts before putting them back on!

check the flashers.. sould be a round fuse sorta thing

Bottom of the timing case on battery side..... look for the lowest wire connector in this area ...... best to get at from underneath.

on my 1995 sonome 4.3 TBI it is located on the underside of the "pipe" leading from the air cleaner housing to the TBI. It is a small tube about the size of your finger about 1" in length

That would be the O2 sensor located after the catalytic converter.

Bummer. I have had that happen on cars. That is a tough way to spend your day, but not a question.

Either 10mm or 3/8"

Unscrew the trim piece around the headlights, be careful as to not lose this.

Pull the light out, unplug, replace.

Simple as that

It's pretty easy, actually. Just replaced mine, took about a half hour total. Plenty of room underneath the van to work. You have two main bolts holding the starter in. Pull them both, disconnect the wires from the solendoid. Put the new motor in, making sure the splines mesh up. If fitted correctly, the bolts will go right back in easily. Turn key, you're good to go.

The turn signal relay switch, on your 1995 GMC, is located beneath the dashboard on the drivers side. The relay switch simply plugs in and unplugs.

Its on the transfer case by where the front axle connects. It's a thin case with a motor mounted on it.

You can check the fuse that controls it or there is a relay that contols it, should be in glove box 1 of 3 that you can switch around if one is bad. Have mechanic check fuel pressure to make sure pump is not working.

It is possible the thermostat has stuck in the open position therefor not letting the engine heat up. It could also be the heater core or possibly the hoses to the heater core are disconnected.

2.2L I4 118 hp

4.3L V6 191 - 200 hp

Your fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. ( I take it your truck will not start) If you turn your ignition on and you can hear a buzzing noise, chances are it is not the pump but rather a ECM/fuse.

You should be able to hear it while your truck is running, it runs constantly until the engine is turned off. If it is excessively loud it may be getting ready to go out on you. If you've had the truck for a while and you never could hear the pump before, but now you can, it's probably starting to fail.

The two black relay boxes under the hood of a 1993 GMC Sonoma are fuse boxes that control part of the electronic devices in the vehicle. One of the boxes also houses the battery below it.
