As we're not allowed to post links here, either in the answer text or as related links, I can only direct you where to go... there's an S10 forum... in fact, take the space out between the words "S10" and "forum" and add the dot com at the end, and it'll take you right to it. Scroll down to the "General Tech" section, and, from there, look for the subforum with the title "Electrical/Wiring". Click on that, and, pinned to the top, there'll be a thread called, "If you need wiring diagrams". Read the first post, and follow the appropriate links there.

Where are the spark plugs located in a 1999 sonoma?
How to Change Spark Plugs General spark plug change how-to for a Dirt bike, motorcycle, car or anything else with a spark plug. 1. Locate the spark plug or plugs. They can be found by following the spark plug wire (a larger black or colored wire leading to the cylinder head). If there is more than one plug, make sure you write down or label each spark plug wire before you take it off. This is important, as on an 8 cylinder engine, you can easily forget which wire goes where. 2. Clean around the spark plug before removing it. Any dirt that has built up around the plug will fall into your cylinder when you pull the plug out. Nothing should go into that hole while the plug is out. Make sure everything is clean. Don't leave small parts in a place where they could fall into the cylinder. 3. Put your spark plug socket and ratchet handle over the spark plug and turn it counter-clockwise to loosen. It will be quite tight at first, but should come out easily after that. 4. Take a look at the electrode end of the plug. Check to see if there is a carbon buildup on the electrode, or if the gap is filled with dirt. If it is oily, you may have worn rings. If the plug is tan, the engine is working properly.* 5. Be sure that your replacement plug is the same size as your old plug. The threaded part should be the same length, and the threads should match. If you're unsure what plug to buy, take an old one with you to the store and have the counter person match it for you. Also, they may be able to tell you the correct plug gap for your application. 6. Check the gap of the new plug. It should be within the engine manufacturer's specifications. Plug gages are available at your local parts counter, usually for a dollar. 7. Insert the plug back into the cylinder head BY HAND at first. Make sure to line up the threads. If you can't get the plug most of the way in by hand, something is wrong. When the threads are lined up, you should be able to get the plug all the way in by hand. 8. Tighten the plug with the socket and ratchet. You want the plug to be tightened to the torque specification indicated in a repair manual. Sometimes the auto parts store worker may be able to tell you the torque specification for your vehicle. 9. Put the plug wires back on the correct plugs. They should snap on and not be easily pulled off. Check to see if they are worn or have cuts in the insulation. If they do, replace them.

If the thread depth of the plug is too long, it may come in contact with your piston, which will cause catastrophic engine failure. Don't guess which size, ask your parts guy... He knows, or at least has a computer or book that does. · If your engine has aluminum cylinder heads, the plugs must be replaced when the engine is cold. Installing plugs when aluminum heads are hot can cause the threaded area to crack. Make sure you gap your plugs to the specified gap, unless the plugs say DO NOT GAP. How do you change the front brake pads and rotors on a 2000 gmc sonoma?
best bet is to also get a repair manual, has other useful tricks and tips
Removing the Brake PadsSet the parking brake. Ensure the back wheel is chocked. Place a block of wood or a brick behind the back wheel. This will prevent the vehicle from rolling back.
Loosen the lug nuts on the driver's side front wheel. Do not remove the lug nuts as you just want to loosen them.
Jack the vehicle up to raise the wheel off the ground. Take off the lug nuts to remove the wheel.
Take the wheel off the truck. This will expose the caliper.
Locate the bolts in the back of the caliper. Unscrew the bolts with a T-45 Torx bit. This bit should fit on your socket wrench.
Take the caliper off by pulling it off the rotor. Pull the rotor up and out. If the caliper is stubborn and will not come off the rotor, you can tap it with a hammer to loosen it. Do not allow the caliper to hang freely by the brake line. Keep a stool nearby to place the caliper on to keep any tension out of the brake lines.
Pull the brake pads out of the caliper. They are fastened into the caliper and can be pulled out with little force.
Turn the smaller brake pad around and place it against the piston.
Tighten the small brake pad against the piston till the piston is flush with the rest of the caliper. Use a C-clamp positioned between the pad and the back of the caliper. Tightening the C-clamp will push the pad against the caliper. This will push the piston back into the cylinder to make room for new brake pads.
Loosen the C-clamp and remove it and the old brake pad. You now have room to install the new pads.
Place the new pads in the caliper. They will click into place. Ensure the large pad is in back and the small one is in front.
Place the caliper back onto the rotor. Ensure the caliper is in position by starting the two bolts. Do not tighten the bolts until both are started.
Tighten the bolts with the socket wrench and the T-45 Torx bit. Ensure the caliper is tight on the rotor.
Install the wheel back onto the wheel studs. Start the lug nuts but do not tighten till all the lug nuts are on the vehicle.
Tighten the lug nuts with the tire tool. Ensure all the lug nuts are tight.
Lower the truck to the ground. Ensure all the lug nuts are tight.
Repeat these steps to the passenger side front wheel. When completed, start up the truck and pump the brake pedal to reset the caliper.

How do you replace the fan belt on a 1998 gmc sonoma?
On the 2.2L motor, use a 3/8" ratchet and insert it into the tensioner pulley socket (located behind the fan, on the lower left side of the motor). Rotate the pulley counterclockwise (left) as far as it will go. This will free up enough slack to pull the old belt off. Installation is the same. There should even be a routing diagram under the hood to help figure out where the belt goes. I've found it easiest to run the belt on the pulleys that can be reached from above, then crawl underneath and finish sliding the belt on the very bottom. Hope this helps. I have no experience with the 4.3L motor, but it should be the same process. Just find the tensioner pulley and start from there.
What would make the catalytic converter on a 1995 GMC Sonoma glow red?
your catalytic converter is plugged up most likely. Are you experiencing low power output or a "bogged down" state when you accelerate and drive? These too are all symptoms of a plugged catalytic converter. An easy fix if you or someone you know has the tools, is to simply torch or cut the converter off the pipe, use a rod and hammer and hammer out all the guts. Then weld it back on place, preferrably with a MIG welder, but a stick welder would work too..just not as nice. Do it this way, and you save yourself almost at the least, $200 in repairs from a mechanic.
