If devanga is a brahmin why it came to sudhra?

Edit By Historian:

Please note that, Devanga means Deva Brahmana. There is no inscription in any vedas that, Devanga belong to Sudhras. Pls note that even though we are not Sudhras, we respect Sudhras as everyone was the same in the world once. Also note that there were many Peasant/Sudhra Kings in Egypt.

Devanga Caste originated in Madhya Pradesh and Orissa region. After the decline of Ashoka, the warriors of Ashoka, wanted to follow vegetarianism. After the decline of the mauryan king Devavarma, the later mauryan kings followed barbarianism and unethical warfare, sacrifising thousands of innocent human and animal lives in order to defeat Greco-Bactrian, by indulging them into battle fields. At this point of time, a descendent of Devavarma, Pushya mitra who was the general of Mauryan army killed the Mauryan king Brihadratha. There developed the kingdoms like Sunga, chetty's of kalinga, Sattavahana. Devanga people were the custodians/protectors of the God during the sacred Idol worship, where as Gupta's, from the period of Chandragupta,Ashoka,Devavarma and Samudragupta are the present day Arya's or Iyers who became holy preachers(Rajya guru) of ideal worship, the first idol worship was in Deogre a Vishnu temple. To identify the sect of vegetarianism, the devanga created the Yagnopaveetham, as preached by the Aryas. There were famous devanga kings/custodians of God like Bhoja/Tribhuvana Narayanadeva and Batta. Their roots belong to agnikula paramara dynasty.During the Vijayanagar period, Devanga people served as ministers and warriors in the Vijayanagar empire. During Krishna deva Rayala empire period many displaced due to difference with one of the kings (No family in devanga community came forward to give bride to king for marrying, some say it was Rayala himself). During the invasion of Bahmani sultan, the Devanga people in order to protect the holy idols, moved to karnataka, Andhra. Again during the invasion of Tipu Sultan and Zamindari Systems, Devangas along with Aryas moved towards kerala, tamilnadu, while few others who supported Tipu Empire, stayed in the mysore belt(Sources say that, it is because of this alliance with Tipu, the moon sign in Chaamundeshwari temple in Mysore was created, though more citation is needed on this.) During the reign of the British Empire, the Devangas became Grand Commanders and Knight Commanders of the order of British empire. Sir Pitti Thyagaraya(T.Nagar is named after him) was from telugu sect of Devanga community was the first unofficial Chief Minister of Madras Presidency, who created justice party in order to provide equality to all, which was later reincarnated as Dravidar kalagam by Periyar. It is believed that, during the decline of Aryas and the up rise of Zamindari system, the Devangas became non-vegetarians as they were displaced in order to protect and safe guard idol worship.

Famous Devanga People are the Devi theatre owner,TNK Govindaraju Chetty of Chennai,.Umashree Karnataka Minister for women,Child welfare, Kannada language and Culture, Cardamom Estate owners of Munnar,Kothagiri Belt, S.S.M.Subramaniam,etc.

It is because of the devanga peoples habit of non veg eating habit. Even now a days the devangas who are veg are considered as brahmins.

Who told devangas who eat veg are treated as brahmins ,but according to the category of the government they come as sudra .As devangas by virtue of ancient culture and civilization, habits of speaking truth always, abiding social order at all costs and the mathematical skills developed since ages cost them dearly due to rivilary in many centuries as told by (word of mouth) from earlier generations. After independence (due to unrest with East India company, most of them lost their stature and livelyhood in society) and governament notified them under Economically backward community and it has nothing to do with the caste structure. Infact Daiveeka brahmins consider themselves as devangas and are given pujari rights in all temples established by devangas (Gayatri, chowdeswari devi and Shiva temples) I don't think its just becoz of eating habits they come to brahim or not .How many brahmins eats non -veg is a well know truth but they come as brahmins Dont concentrate on food habits as many of the brahmins also eat non -veg but they are not coming as sudras ."AS SAID IN HISTORY DEVANGAS ARE BIRTH BY BRAHMINS" THEY HAVE FIRST DESIGNED JANJAM WHAT FOR ALL BRAHMINS IS A COMPLUSION ".

Devangas are prakrutik Brahmins meaning by birth not by profession. They were vegetarians earlier and most of them even today. During Krishna deva Rayala empire period many displaced due to difference with one of the kings (No family in devanga community came forward to give bride to king for marrying, some say it was Rayala himself) and during this time they became non vegetarians due to displacements and hiding , as told by older generations in 18th century. The rituals and the thread ceremony, vedic weddings, Sraddhas are most ancient in nature. They are the people who do yagnas originally. If one go through the Gutenberg documents on weavers of coastal Andhra available, the community was subjected to hardships in British rule (By East India Company) for excellent cloth technology(Jakart) known to them only when most of the world population was not even wearing proper clothes then. The company forcibly took cloth and taxed independent looms heavily for international trade supply in 16th century. This cloth making was subsequently learnt from Devangas and mechanised by the East India company in Mills in Europe. Devangas have taken to weaving as tradition for living as there is no papahetu in this profession. Yagnas were basically rituals conducted for wellbeing of society & man-kind and will not support a living in society for devangas in those olden days.It may be known that they hold pradhama sthanam in Gayatri peetham,Hemakut,Hampi. They are known as Deva Brahmanas in ancient times .
