Honda knows they have a problem with the passenger side lower ball joint on 2001-2005 Honda civic. refer to Honda service bulletin 04-079 dated December 21,2004. the bulletin describes how to remove the ball joint and Honda now has a ball joint replacement. however, the service bulletin suggests checking the opening in the knuckle to make sure it will receive the new ball joint. the bulletin also suggest that Honda will repair it even if it is out of warranty as a good will gesture. if not, purchase the entire knuckle assembly with a ball joint from majestic Honda. it will cost you about 100 dollars .

Assuming the cable is not broken, I would have a assistant pull on the lever from within the car and then I would go to the front an give the hood a sharp rap right over the catch with the palm of my hand. SRS light references only the Airbag system of you car. Something has failed the self test which causes the light to activate. This can be a very bad situation as most likely the airbags will not deploy in an accident or the may deploy in normal driving due to a short. Take the car to a certified mechanic to have it looked at and repaired. SRS will have nothing to do with your horn or your cruise control.

There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.

I just replaced my spark plugs and wires and my cap and rotor.

So...now I am aimlessly trying to find a fix to my problem.

I have a 1995 Honda civic cx that has a lot of modification to the engine. The car runs great always has, but now I have a whitish blue smoke coming out the exaust pipe, but I don't lose a drop of coolant, so I have ruled out the head gasket. I have to put about 4 litres of oil in per month, plus a bottle of lucas oil, and it continues to burn the oil, also the valve guides are o.k. I can't figure out why it is burnig oil with no performance loss.

The light come on when the system detects a problem and sets a trouble code. You should have it diagnosed by a trained technician. The airbag system is not for do it yourselfers.

I have a G35 Coupe (2005) I asked the dealership the same question. Here was the answer: When car is UNLOCKED the gas tank lid will pop open with a slight push of a finger. If the car is LOCKED....it will NOT open. It does NOT have an internal remote button inside the car. Hope this helped.
