To hang light weight items such as a poster, Sticky Tac is an excellent removable, and reusable adhesive that won't harm the paint. How do you paint a tin?

You can protect your oil-based paints from a skin by just adding a bit of mineral spirits to lie on the surface of the paint before you close the can. If a skin is formed, take a sharp tool to cut it away, lift it (in one piece if you can) out and discard into an empty can with a tight lid. If there are dried crumbs (snots) of paint in the fresh paint, sift through cheesecloth or paper strainer into a clean can. Dispose of all paints at your town's recycling centers.

How does a flame sensor works?

A flame sensor is a safety mechanism installed on gas furnaces. It is located directly between the burners and the gas supply. When your gas kicks on, the flame sensor MUST detect a flame. This safety mechanism is to prevent your house from filling up with un-lit gas. Even if your burners are igniting, if your Flame Sensor is dirty (covered in carbon from typical use) it will fault out, thus shutting off the furnace over and over. If this is the case, your furnace will kick on every 2 minutes (because the thermostat tells it your house is too cold) and then will shut off after 5 or 10 seconds as a result of the Flame Sensor Fault.

Can you bend acrylic?

Acrylic or Plexiglass is bent in different ways-- one way is -- it is molded during fabrication-- and the other way is you can bend it yourself. If you have a flat piece and would like to bend it you can use a hot air blower or you can purchase an electric strap heater. Heat bars are also sold as well as heat adjusting power boxes to be used with the heat bars. With this heat bar you simply place the plastic with your marked bend line on the heat bar and plug it in-- this heat process takes just about 5 minutes for the plastic to get soft enough for you to bend the rest by hand. This is a method that requires you to use angle jigs with clamps to hold the plastic until it cools down and hardens to your desired angle. You can make your own plastic bender heating table

or you can just buy heat bars.

You can use a hot air gun--or you can use a strap heater.--

set your piece of plexiglass on the table with your bend line on the edge of the table. - -place the strap heater on your marked / drawn bend line and plug in the heater or you can use the hot air blower guiding it from side to side and the until the acrylic bends on its own as it heats up. I build acrylic countertop candy display units for neighborhood grocery stores-- so ask me how I know

What I do is I add an extra 1/4 inch to my piece of plastic so that when it bends i can use the table saw to cut the bend crease off of the side and I use a torch to re-glaze the edge of the plastic for a smoothe glass like edge.

How can you get rid of moss in your monoblock?

To remove moss from your monoblock, start by scrubbing the surface with a stiff brush and a mixture of water and dish soap to dislodge the moss. For more stubborn growth, a solution of vinegar or bleach diluted in water can be applied, but be sure to rinse thoroughly afterward. Additionally, improving drainage and sunlight exposure can help prevent moss from returning. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning and sealing the surface, will also reduce moss buildup over time.
