Make 2squares and 4 right angle triangle using 8 straight lines?
Using the first four lines, draw a square. Now use the next two lines to bisect the square both horizontally and vertically. You now have one square divided into four smaller squares. Use the last two lines to diagonally bisect two of the four smaller squares. There you go.
Is 138 a good score for verbal IQ for a 6 year old?
Yes, it is well above average. What your child does with her abilities is far more important that numbers on a test, however. Show her how to live a well-rounded life. That's what she needs at this point. Don't become a driving parent. Just stick to raising a happy child.
IQ is not dependent on age. Anything over 100 is considered good, 132 (Standford Benet) is Mensa good. However IQ often does not live up to expectations of society. High IQs tend to have more areas of interest making the advantage mostly useless for monetary advantages. Contrary to popular opinion, unless the individual only has an interest in a narrow field of study he will be happier in a profession that requires a diverse skill set.
How do you determine the number of divisors using the prime factorization and its exponents?
Write the prime factorization with exponents. Add 1 to each exponent. (Numbers without exponents actually have the exponent 1.) Multiply them together. That will be the number of factors.
10 = 2 x 5 = 21 x 51
2 x 2 = 4
10 has four factors.
72 = 23 x 32
4 x 3 = 12
72 has twelve factors.
Square numbers can be tricky. The prime factorization of 9 should be written as 32, not 3 x 3. Adding 1 to the 2 gives you 3. 9 has three factors.
Relation between student Intelligence IQ score and parent's income?
There is no relation, no matter how much people say there is. you could be the riches person in the world and your child could be extremely unintelegent same goes the other way, you could have a very low income and give birth to a geneous
Answer I'm sorry to say that the previous answer is not based on current scientific understanding, and is unfortunately incorrect. No matter how much we might wish the world to be otherwise, there are two facts about IQ and income that can't be ignored: (1) Children growing up in well-to-do households are likely to have higher IQs than children growing up in poor households (though there are certainly high IQ children in poor households, and low IQ children in rich households);
(2) Adults with higher IQs tend to make more money than adults with lower IQs (though once again, there are dim-witted rich people, and smart poor people). It is important to understand that the above facts do not prove that wealth or money causesuperior intelligence, only that they are related to higher intelligence, possibly through intermediate mechanisms such as genetics and environment.
It is known that heredity accounts for about half the variability in IQs, and developmental environment for the other half of IQ variability. From this, it is easy to see that (1) and (2) above are closely related. Not only that, there is good reason to suspect that the relationships in (1) and (2) are self-perpetuating and mutually reinforcing: high IQ adults make more money, and provide heredity and environment favorable to high-IQ children, who then grow up to continue the cycle. It is usually better to deal with the world as it is, rather than as we'd like it to be at some future time. In assuming that there's no connection between income and IQ, we might unwittingly support policies that worsen the IQ-income disparities in our society. On the other hand, if we acknowledge the truth of this connection, then measures that improve the financial resources available to poor children could become more popular, because we suspect that these could help children, and our entire society, become smarter and richer over the long haul.
Culture-fair tests are designed to be used by individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds to minimize cultural bias. They are often used in educational and employment settings to assess cognitive abilities and skills without being influenced by cultural differences.

Jim Carrey has an IQ of 153. He took the Mensa test 1987-03-15.
IQ is something that can increase or decrease depending on the choice of lifestyle of each individual. You can improve Your IQ if you propose it to yourself.
The intent of IQ tests is develop a cognitive test. A true cognitive test would not change over time barring mental illness or damage. However, while current IQ tests are developing less and less deviation they are not yet to that standard.

How many different types of IQ tests are there and how do they vary from each other?
There are countless numbers of IQ tests available, with varying amounts of validity. The main ones in use, however, include:
WISC-IV (children) WAIS-III (by far the most commonly used) Stanford-Binet-IV RIAS UNIT WASI Woodcock-Johnson-R WPPSI (young children) KBIT DAS (children)
These differ in the theoretical basis used to develop the instrument, the validity and reliability, the subscores generated, and the length of administration. In general, IQ tests will give you a verbal intelligence score and a nonverbal/performance intelligence score, with further specifics varying by test. The UNIT is a nonverbal test (suitable for deaf or non-english-speaking individuals). The WASI and RIAS are brief forms (however, unlike the WASI, the RIAS is considered a full-scale IQ and not a screener)....they take approximately 20 min, vs. the 1 to 1 1/2 hours required for a full test.
Strictly speaking, intelligence tests only measure "ability." Any test that assesses writing skills, reading skills, math skills, etc is NOT an intelligence test, but an *ACHIEVEMENT* test. Comprehensive batteries will include both, as will assessments geared toward looking at learning disabilities.
Hope this helps!
The first answer was a good one. I just want to ad that pseudo-scientific "IQ" tests are used by some organizations to manipulate people. Be very suspicious when someone wants to test your "IQ".
Joe Biden's IQ is not known. It is also not known if he's ever actually taken an IQ test. It is probably more likely he has not as most people never take an IQ test.
What we do know:He graduated with a double major (History and Political Science) from the University of Delaware. His graduating class rank was 506th out of 688 graduates.
He attended graduate school at Syracuse University College of Law and graduated with his Juris Doctor in 1968. His class rank from law school was 76th out of 85.
So while we don't know what his IQ is, we know he was at least smart enough to earn a Bachelor Degree with a double major and a Juris Doctor degree. Although not in the top half of his classes. We also know he practiced as a lawyer for several years before becoming a politician.
Why is Ozymandias from Watchmen considered the smartest man in the world?
Ozymandias/(Adrian Veidt) was regarded as the smartest man in the world due to his ability to intellectually manipulate the characters as one who moves chess-pieces in a game of chess anticipating the moves of his opponent(s) .
Triangle puzzle - how many triangles?
27 triangles. There are 16 one-cell triangles, 7 four-cell triangles, 3 nine-cell triangles, and 1 sixteen-cell triangle.
You can find this using a table of z scores.
Z = (x - mu) / s
Z = (109 - 100) /15 = 9/15 = 3/5 = .6
You want the percentage of students having a z score above .6.
p = 1 - .7257 = .2743
.2743 * 1800 = 493 students with a score above 109
