If you are 13 years old and your IQ test score was 128 is that any good because most of your friends got between 80-100?

"Average" on an IQ test is, by definiton, 100. Anything above 100 is considered to be above average. Anything below 100 is considered to be below average. If your IQ is 128, you are capable of getting straight A's through college. An IQ of 128 is not considered to be a genius, but it's enough above average that about 80% of the world's population will have a score that is lower. You might want to cultivate some friendships with others who have high IQ's and are doing well in school. Those types of relationships can help you later in life and can help you learn more. Just a suggestion. Good luck and remember that with that ability, you can do just about anything that you want. I just looked this up because i just finished taking this IQ test and i got 128 too. Only difference is I am 12, but close enough right? My dad says it is good... his is 130 ish and he says to "protect that brain i have". Ok dad, got it. LOL, well congragulations, put your mind to a good use... don't let it waste! They tell me it is good, so Im just keepin my fingers crossed and hope i get into a good highschool!!!! LOL ;)-

Why would an IQ test be developed so most people would score between 85 and 115?

An IQ test is simply a (somewhat flawed) means of assessing a person's "relative intelligence". It is important that IQ is not extremely important when working with such a measure in psychology.

Now, the IQ test is designed such that scores follow a pattern known as a "normal distribution". This is not simply an expected distribution! This distribution is very important in the study of statistics, and has many applications to scientific disciplines (such as psychology).

A standard deviation is essentially a measure of distance from the mean. For example, say that the average person lives to be 75, with a standard deviation of 4. This means that a person who lives to be 79 would be one standard deviation above the mean, and a person who lives to be 67 would be two standard deviations below the mean.

As a table depicting the normal distribution can show, one standard deviation above the mean is at the 84th percentile, while one standard deviation below the mean is at the 16th percentile (two stds above: 97.5th, two stds below: 2.5th)

This means that an IQ score of 115 is at the 84th percentile, while an IQ score of 85 is at the 16th percentile. 68% of all people are within this range, and that is "most" people.

What is the Japanese river iq test?

This is a puzzle involving taking individuals across a river two at a time on a raft. It is similar to another puzzle using corn, a chicken, and a fox, in that some groups of people cannot be left by themselves on one side of the river, necessitating several specific trips to cross, and recross the river.
---
There are 8 individuals that have to cross:
a mother
a father
two sons
two daughters,
a criminal
a policeman
The raft can only hold two people at a time, and only the mother, father and policeman can operate it. The following stipulations are made:
A) the mother cannot be left alone with either of the sons
B) the father cannot be left alone with either of the daughters
C) the criminal cannot be left with anyone unless the policeman is also present.
This obviously requires a number of crossings (5) by the policeman and criminal.
---
The solution requires 12 round trips with the following pairs:
1) Policeman takes criminal across (secures him) / Policeman crosses back
2) Policeman takes one son across / Policeman and criminal cross back
3) Father and second son cross / Father crosses back
4) Father and mother cross / Mother crosses back
5) Policeman and criminal cross / Father crosses back
6) Father and mother cross / Mother crosses back
7) Mother and one daughter cross / Policeman and criminal cross back
8) Policeman and second daughter cross / Policeman crosses back
9) Policeman and criminal cross

What is the average IQ of Senators?

This question can not be answered since an IQ test is not given to run for office. One must assume that it is fairly high since about 80% are college graduates. Yet, common sense is not given out as part of a degree. Sometimes a little bit of "street smarts" is good to have with a college education since it can help the person understand how 90% of the world lives. It is also true that smart people, when they get into a position of authority and power, have a tendency to forget how the rest of the world lives from day to day. Washington DC is rather removed from reality.

What are the features of managerial economics?

Assessing Market Competition
  • A managerial economist determines how the competition and market structure affect the product's sales level and price. In a perfectly competitive market, the managerial economist realizes companies accept market pricing based on supply and demand. If the firm is part of an oligopoly, i.e., the company and just a handful of others control the majority of the market, an economist uses principles from Nash's equilibrium which states that the firm must engage in pricing strategy to undercut its competitors. How many substitutes are available in the company's niche is also a factor: If two other companies sell a beverage that tastes the same, the firm must either keep the drink price lower or establish strong brand loyalty among consumers.

Factors of Production
  • In addition to the market structure, pricing strategy is designed based on the firm's inherent factors of production. Nick Wilkinson, author of the textbook, "Managerial Economics: A Problem-Solving Approach," explains these factors include the education level and skill set of its labor force, access to scarce resources such as oil, and the level of technology available to the firm. Managerial economists calculate the firm's variable and fixed costs to determine its economic profit and break-even price. From these factors of production, economists assess the short- and long-term viability of the company.

Legal Regulations
  • A managerial economist assesses how current legislation affects business operations. For instance, if the company wants to merge with another firm, an economist analyzes the impact of reduced competition, increased market share and if antitrust regulations may serve as an impediment to the merger. G.S. Gupta, author of the textbook, "Managerial Economics," explains other legal considerations include minimum wage laws, taxes, subsidies and health and safety standards. Other legal regulations might include environmental mandates. If the government requires reduced carbon emissions, an economist determines which option is better: incur higher fixed costs by replacing machinery or pay for carbon credits if the company exceeds the standard amount. Foreign legislation is also of great interest to an economist. Countries that enact regulations on their labor industry could have severe effects on a multinational corporation's bottom line that relies on overseas labor. For example, a managerial economist determines what switching costs are incurred, if any, should the company relocate labor from Mexico to China. Export and import quotas, subsidies, tariffs and differential taxes are other foreign legal considerations
