Where is the radiator drain on a 1996 Isuzu Trooper?

There should be a drain on the bottom of the radiator somewhere. If you cannot find one, then remove the lower radiator hose and drain the coolant form that location.

You have a 92 190e Mercedes no power at the blower motor ac heat you found the bearings frozen on the blower you need to know where the fuse and relay are located And any other advice you havethanks M?

Mine did the same thing! Look at your fuse box...then look a little farther down along the inside of the engine bay...you'll see a few little black plastic boxes open them... there are fuses in there as well. I found them wile searching the wiring and one of the fuses was blown. I put a new fuse in and PRESTO!! My blower motor started working again right off the bat. I hope this helped you!

How do you change the heater core on a 1988 Isuzu trooper?

Tear the dash out. It may be clogged. Try applying water pressure to the hoses coming of your firewall.

Where do you put transmission fluid in a 89 crx?

I am assuming a manual transmission. There is a fill plug above the drain plug back a little bit. you will need a funnel with a long hose and make sure the car is on a level surface when checking fluid levels.

How do you replace a heater core on a 94 Isuzu Trooper?

Wow, what a chore you are about to get envolved with! You must remove almost all of your dash including the center. Next you will need to start removing the vents and other parts of your AC system under your dash. Your heater core is inside the front part of the blower box. First you must disconnect the hoses inside the engine compartment on the passenger side where they enter the fire wall. After you remove the entire black heater unit from under the dash you will be able to see the core just below the flap. You must carefully separate the blower box into its two halves to remove the core. The hardest parts are getting the new core back throught the fire wall (I enlarged one of the holes) and making sure your cables from you ac control are adjusted correctly. Sorry this is not a very technical discription.

How do you replace the oxygen sensor in an Isuzu Trooper?

Not sure what year that you are talking about, but in a 3.5L V6, 1999, you have 4 of them to replace. There are dual exhausts coming from the engine and there are two catalytic converters. There is an O2 sensor just before and one just after each converter. There is a special O2 sensor tool that you may be able to get on loan from maybe an Auto Zone or Checker auto store in order to remove and install them. They may make you purchase it and then give money back when you are done. They are a bit of a wrestling match, especially on the right side, but with persistence it can be done. When you are reinstalling them, make sure that you put anti-seize compound on them in case you ever have to remove them again.

How do you remove an alternator off an Isuzu trooper?

Should only be 2 bolts-1 at 6 & 1 at 12 o' clock. Remove those & wires from back (disconnect batt first) & just R&R. Belt has to come off first. Alt will swing sideways once you loosen top bolt or if serpentine, just pry on idler to get slack with pry bar. If serpentine, make sure you have routing diagram (or note) before removal.

Why would the ABS and brake warning lights come on intermittently on a 1995 Trooper LS even after the brakes have been replaced?

Check the brake fluid. If it is ok, take it to the dealer and have the abs codes read.

Additionally, there could be a couple reasons more. For my '95 Trooper, the ABS hydraulic brake cylinder was gradually going out. The ABS brake light would blink on and off going over bumps, then finally the ABS brake light stayed on all together. Two or three years later I had it checked out and the ABS hydraulic cylinder was defective and replaced. My mechanic also told me that the electrical line from the ABS sensor at the differential is known for breaking in a particular location and that also could cause the problem.

The rear window on your 1992 Isuzu Trooper goes down but not up how can you repair this?

Rear windows a know to have this fault, They are cable driven and what happens is the the cable frays and twists on the cable drive drum, you can repair them if you have a good workshop and the time, generally by now you will have tried to get the window back up and down so my guess is that it will be a real birds nest inside with bits of broken plastic. but is cheaper to get a new window drive unit from your dealer they are one of the cheaper after market parts and it will last.

I have a 93 Bighorn electric windows and found the fault was contacts in the drivers control panel. This can be carefully prized up out of the door unplugged the taken apart (I did it on the kitchen table where nothing can get lost) by carefully removing the screws clean all the little rocker contacts and the main contacts on the panel which carry the power to everywhere else.Re assemble and all works fine again.NOTE take care with the on off button it has a small spring which will come out if care is not taken although the windows will work fine without the lock button working

Where is the fule pump izuzu trooper?

I would say it is an electric fuel pump inside the gas tank

How do you replace a fuel pump on an 89 Isuzu Trooper?

not too hard. You need a bucket, 12mm socket, 17mm socket extension, offset box end, a jack, phillips screwdriver, vice grips.

If possible run the tank dry. If not place the bucket below the drain [plug in the tank and drain the gas out. Hopefully the bucket is large enough to take all the gas. You really don't have to drain it all but at 6 or 7 lbs per gallon it gets heavy. You got to remember it is gas and will burn so no sparks, no smoking no hot exhaust etc. Care is paramount. If you can drain all the gas you might as well clean out the tank too by adding a bit more and sloshing it around then drain again. Dirt clogs the little filter and starves the pump. Also if you run your tank low for a while the pump overheats and can fail.

First, using the 12mm remove the tank shield and set aside.

Then find the sending unit and fuel pump plugs located on the passenger side of the tank. The big one is the pump. Unplug it and reach up over the tank to undo the clips.

Next loosen & remove the tank bolts (3) on the driver's side of the tank and let the tank flop down on that side. You can use the floor jack to lower the tank slowly. It will also help hold the tank up when you are working on the bolts. The three need to be held from above using the offset box 12mm wrench.

Once these bolts are removed and the tank is flopped down on the drivers side you can see the 9 or so screws holding the pump assembly in.

First remove and plug the two neoprene lines going to the pump. You can use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the clips. These are 3/8 lines and you need plugs handy or you will get wet.

Once the lines are out of the way you can attempt to remove the screws. First with the Philips #2 stubby and when that doesn't work with the vice grips. Just work slowly and carefully. Keep track of where the hose connectors pointed maybe by marking the plate.

Once you get these all out you can remove the pump assy.

The new pump will come with a new filter. Take the whole thing to the parts store to see exactly what you need to do to replace the pump. It is pretty easy and self evident. You might need to buy a few extra screws too. I usually replace the Philips with hex head.

Te install the pump assembly, jack the tank about 1/2 way up and reinstall the fuel lines. Jack it the rest of the way and reinstall the three bolts on the drivers side. You may have had to buy a bolt or two as these freeze and twist apart if you do remember the standard hex nut for a 12 mm bolt is 13mm

Reconnect the pump connector and start the engine after you clean up the spilled gas. It should work if you remembered to fill the tank.

Remove the jack, replace the tank cover and you are on your way.

You may want to replace the line filter (in front of the rear passenger side wheel along the frame while you are at it.

The procedure is the same for any trooper from 87 to 94 and probably all others.

How many miles will a Isuzu trooper go for?

I have a 1996 Trooper, and I have over 410,000 miles on the original engine and transmission, but I did have to rebuild the transmission once, due to the fact that I took it to have the oil changed on it at one of these easy oil change places and they messed it up by not putting th correct amount of transmission oil, they called me after a few hours asking me where was the dip stick or the cap where the tranny oil went into. I was so pissed off. I had to look it up and tell them, they looked at me like I didn't know what I was telling them, when I told them that they needed to pump the oil up into the tranny from under. Well they told me that they did, but was wrong. I later found out driving home and the car stopped completely, a friend of mine did all the servicing for the tranny and was able to fixed it, he told me that the other guys had only put about 4 quarts into it when it took almost 15 quarts. This car is the second Isuzu I have and wish they didn't stop making it, I use it for heavy loads at work and drive all over the west and Mexico in it. It's more reliable then any more expensive America or German car I have ever owned.

How do you siphon gas from Isuzu trooper?

My guess, after a quick look, is to remove the hose clamp where the fill hose empties into the tank and siphon from there.

I ended up here because I was looking for a way to bypass the anti-siphon block.
