Jeep Cherokee

The 1999 Jeep Cherokee employs an interesting idler pulley assembly. What you need to do is:
1. Remember the belt routing, it's not printed under the hood.
2. Loosen the 15mm hex nut on the idler pulley
3. There's a bracket that the idler pulley is connected to and a 15mm tensioning bolt to turn to release the tension off of the belt.
Jeep Cherokees seem to like Premium belts best.

did you check your slave cylinder? is the hydraulic master cylinder leaking? did you try bleeding the clutch at all? what exactly does your pedal do? does it go straight to the floor or does it have pedal? there may be an air pocket in your lines? it could be alot of things you have to be more specific with your question

Hey ive had the same problem for a little while, my entire speaker system wouldn't work unless the passenger side door was open, or i hit it when it was closed, my problem was that the wires were grounding out, just make sure you have neat and clean wire connectons in your doors, and you should be good.

2 places to check. Follow the fuel line off the carb. Possibly mounted on the back side of the engine. Or follow the lines from the gas tank and locate it along the inner side of the frame rails. look near back left tire

belt is probably to big, try a 1 or 2 inch smaller belt.

The Grand Cherokee is notorious for failures of the air flow control. However the Cherokee has the same basic problem. They are both located under the plastic wiper cowl in the area between the hood and windshield. Remove the wipers (if you aren't sure how to do that you pull the tabs about 3/4 of the way out) then you remove the screws in the wiper cowl. Once it is removed you should see both the wiper motor and control bar.
