I was looking at the 1998 Lincoln Continental owners manual and what I can

make out is that you can shut the traction control system off using the

message center ( but unfortunately the manual doesn't explain how to do that )

At least I couldn't find it

The T/C OFF light will appear above the engine temperature gauge

can anyone help me with finding the fuse box on my 1965 Lincoln Continental ?

In a 1999 Lincoln Continental :

The car battery is located in the engine compartment , on the drivers side of the

engine compartment

I could not find any for mine because of the ABS can that sits directly in the way on the passenger side. I ordered a nice set from Stan, Ford Powertrain Products and they in no way form or fashion come close to fitting. He sold me a very nice set of headers that he had no idea if they would fit my 71 or not. He said they would but when I got them it was obvious that he just wanted to make a sale and hope they would fit. If you keep the ABS canister in tack, I don't see any header fitting on a stock 71 Mark 3. Take the canister off, then they might. He was not a pleasant person to deal with after the sale. Looks like to me if you are selling a premium product for a premium price, you would know EXACTLY which models the headers fit. Good luck on your search.

if you look under the hood on your 99 corolla there will be a small black box on the right side of the car beside the air filter, and that is the fuse box. it has a pictogram of which fuse does what on it, but if that's not helpful enough then simply look in your owners manual and it should tell you.

There is only on lever on the left side of the steering wheel. That's the turn signal. Push the turn signal straight back until the steering wheel responds. Don't be afraid of damaging the turn signal.

The engine cooling system capacity is ( 14.25 U.S. quarts )

*** so , for a 50 / 50 mix it takes just over 7 quarts of antifreeze mixed with 7 quarts of preferably distilled water

theres not really a type of fluid, theres just different names brands but its all the same transmission fluid, that i know of anyway.

The flasher relay is more than likely defective. One flasher controls both the turn signals and the hazard lights. It is located on the driver side, behind dash, mounted above kick panel.

According to the 2002 Lincoln Continental Owner Guide :

The 6 disc CD changer is either in the front passenger foot well , or in the

center console

Air suspension. But if you have one and the air bags are shot, it's a lot cheaper to convert it to coil springs. I have a '96 TC whose suspension went out. The shop (not a dealer) told me the control module was shot and for $1400 they would replace it...but I don't think they were right, I think I had a leaky air bag and the compressor may have gone out. In any case, for about $250 I got replacement springs and HD shocks, and the shop did the conversion for about $350 in labor. Probably could have done it myself except I'm lazy and don't like lying around under heavy cars any more.

The above answer is correct for the most part. I own a 95 signature and JUST finished this a week ago. The cheapest way to go to repair your air suspension on your 95 town car is to convert it to coil. Go to your local auto parts dealer (I went to Advance Auto Parts) and buy a set of springs for a 1993 town car. 1993 did not have the air ride and the coil springs are a perfect match since they did not change the bosy on these cars during those years. I paid $94.14 after tax, for the springs and it came with the rubber insulators. It is very simple to swap. All you do is put the rear of the car up on a set of heavy duty jack stands, put a small hydraulic jack under the differential, remove the lower bolts to the shocks (18mm socket) and slowly drop the rear end using the jack. Remove the air springs, detach the air lines, remove the old spring rubbers, install the new rubbers, install the new springs, jack up the rear end, bolt up the shocks and you're done. As for the check suspension light, i have the instructions on how to disable it but send me an email for the answer. Just a follow-up (I made the 1st post to this question): I've now had the coil springs on for a couple of months, and it was certainly the right thing to do! Yes, the air suspension is nice especially if you load down the trunk and put 3 heavyweights in the back seat. But, the coil springs work fine and I'm really glad I went that way. Would have been gladder if I knew how easy it was to swap to the springs myself! But still feel I got my money's worth having the shop do it, rather than toss money after the air bag stock suspension.

Yeah, I put one of Strutmasters conversion kits on my 93 town car about 2 years ago and she still rides like new. The conversion kit is definitely the way to go in my opinion. No, they are independent of each other. Check the bulbs and if defective, replace them. If not then you either have a bad brake light switch or a bad turn signal switch. ** Also try spraying contact cleaner around the emergency light swith on the steering column. Press it many times to lubricate and clean it and see if that brings the brake lights back to life.

There are two drain plugs. One is on the front of the oil pan and the second one is on the lower left side of the oil pan sump.

On most ford vehicles and most vehicles in general the pil pressure sending unit is located near the oil filter. Find your oil filter and feel around it particularly above it. This would probably be the only place where you would find the sender because it is the best place to put it. Just look above the oil filter and try to find a fitting with some wires protruding from it, you have found your oil pressure sender. I hope I helped

On the Lincoln Continentals, the air suspension system works in sets of two. In the 1990 Continental (which I used to have) it was front and back. If one front air shock (or one rear one) has a serious leak, that end looses suspension. In the 1992 (which I have now) it is set up for side-to-side (passenger side or driver's side). If there is a leak anyplace on the driver's side, for instance, the whole side settles down to the fail-safe mode, which is still driveable. In fact, if you shut off the entire system (in the trunk), you will feel like you are riding in a Corvette.

Check the Vehicle Emission Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the

front of the engine compartment ( it will show what type of spark plugs to

use and the spark plug gap )

Try looking for a sticker on the hinge of your trunk. Look under the dash to the left of the steering column. The factory often places the sticker there. You'll have to get on your back and slide under to see it. There is a compartment in the trunk, drivers side, in there you will fink a box labeled remote keyless entry, most have a sticker with the code on it.

Check for blown fuse or bad circuit breaker. Make sure all the grounds are clean and tight.

Depends on condition,but if in mint condition around $30,000 to $35,000.
