Software is written to use the facilities provided by a particular operating system. A Mac's default operating system is Mac OS X. A Mac can also run the Windows operating system. If the Mac has the required operating system to support the software on the external drive then it can run it.

Sorry, but a Mac OS is not intended to run on non-Mac Hardware. So a Mac running on Windows based PC will not work as you would hope. It will also break EULA with Apple and that's just not cool...

The other way around will work. If you have a Mac, you can use either Bootcamp, Virtualbox, or VMware and it's legally possible and a sound process that will be guaranteed to work if you know what you are doing.

To specify owner privileges in Mac OS X select the file or folder with a single click then either right click and select Get Info or press the Command key (cmd) and I to open the Info window. At the bottom of the window you can allocate privileges for individuals or groups or add new names to the list by clicking the +(plus) button. Judging from the tech specs page on the Viewsonic PJ503D projector, it takes standard VGA input. The PowerBook G4 12" has a mini DVI out port. So, the adapter you would need is a mini DVI to VGA adapter (which should have come included with the PowerBook, or is readily available at your local Apple store or Apple online).

First, make sure that your external hard drive is USB capable. If it uses firewire, then that might be the issue. If it is USB capable, then plug it into the powerbook. Wait at the most 1 minute for it to recognize the external hard drive. If it does not appear on the screen, you may want to try and plug it in on a second computer. If it doesn't show up on a second computer, the hard drive may have a problem/bug. If it does show up, then drag the selected files onto the hard drive. If it says you can't, then there probably isn't enough room on the hard drive to store the files. That is about all that can be explained to you from the information given.

No, iTunes does not let you change the speed of a song. iTunes will only allow you to play and hold a song, not mix it up or change it. You must have music editing software to change the speed of a song.

Don't worry, It turns out the new harddrive I got didn't have the driver that read iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch (usbappl.sys if anyone needs it) then my computer could read it and I just had to 'Restore' it in iTunes.I hope that helped anyone that needed to know :)

Automator is an application developed by Apple for Mac OS X that implements point-and-click (or drag-and-drop) creation of workflows for automating repetitive tasks.
