If the pump under the hood buzzes and makes noise when you press the washer switch then the sprayers at the windshield are plugged, replace sprayers. More likely you will find the pump makes no noise and is bad. Could be out of fluid.

The 4.6 liter V8 engine uses ( 2 timing CHAINS / 1 CHAIN to each cylinder head )

No - the starting system is totally separated from the remote entry.

I had the same problem. It is likely the switch that mounts on the seat- Originally I was overthinking the problem- assuming it was a relay. The easiest and cheapest way to check it is to swap the working passenger side button with the driver side's button. Its easy to do- just remove the seat contols and the switch itself is a plug in. Took me less than 10 minutes to do. I now have the passenger side heated seat disabled until I order a new button- which go for about $30 on ebay.

Oil pan.

It means the primary crash sensor circuit has had a short to ground, possibly an activated crash sensor due to a crash detected, and then the issue has gone away, in other words, it is intermittant. If there has been no crash then there may be an intermittant issue with that crash sensor, or the crash sensor cicuit wiring. The fault code may be cleared to see if the issue returns. The companion code to a 54 is a code 14. When there is a short that occurs, the lamp should flash a 14 at first, then begin flashing the 54 when the short goes away.

With solid state ignition and fuel injection, this is what it cost a friend of mine. $7 for an air filter, $32 for eight spark plugs, and $4 for a PVC valve. $43 for parts and $100 for labor.

I can't show a picture , but the kick panel is the interior trim panel , just in front

of the front door , by the passengers feet . According to the 1999 Mercury

Mountaineer Owner Guide , you will find the fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia

switch ) behind the kick panel . The Owner Guide doesn't show if there is an

access hole or if and how the kick panel is removed in order to reset the

inertia switch

Turn your low beam headlights on and pull the headlight knob out towards

you to turn on your fog lights ( push the knob back in away from you to turn

the fog lights off )

press the button on the left side of the headrest and at the same time stick a paper clip in the small hole on the right side of the plastic washer betwen the headrest and seat.

There are four ways to find a ratio.

1 A dealer can normally tell from the vin number.

2 There are normally tags or labels on the axle that have part number, gear ratio, and fluid requirement

info.

3 You can count how many times you have to turn the driveshaft to get one complete turn of the tires.

4 You can divide the number of teeth on the ring gear and divide by number of teeth on the pinion.

the location is 22

if it has a clutch, the clutch needs replaced. if it's an automatic, it needs to be overhauled by a dealership or competent transmission shop.

THE OIL PAN IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE ENGINE

it is under the driver side dash on the brake peadle about half way up unhook wire take off nut holding an replace,,,, note distance the sensor sticks out you will have to ajuste the new one to the same length on some models

Each vehicle has its own factory code

Pull the trim around the door handle out at least one inch to release the catch/hook that holds the arm rest switch plate in place. Same all doors.

Then lift the panel containing the switchs and disconnect the wiring plug.

Squeeze the plastic clips on the switch and push it out from the bottom.

Driver's switch is different. The other three are identical, so you can swap switches to determine if the switch or something else is at fault.

by going to the police and telling them that you have just murdered someone and dumped the body into the nearby yard, and when they let the dog sniff on it for investigation part of it will vanish with the dogs lick, then the rest you just wipe of with a paper tower and lightly concentrated alcohol.
