It's located under the back seat. There's a portal to get to the fuel pump system, but it's not the easiest thing in the world to reinstall. I would recommend having someone that knows what they're doing work on it if you're wanting to replace the fuel pump. (I just had mine done)
I'm assuming you mean the window is off it's guide rail. And that these are power windows. Unfortunately, that item is sold from Mitsubishi w/ the motor as a one piece package ONLY. (I know, how stupid is that) and also that's on a 2000 Galant. Once the window is off the guide rail, most of the time it's not a simple matter of just getting back on the guide. The guide rail is made of plastic! And over time will deteriorate. So whole thing along w/ a new motor has to be installed. If you know a mechanic, you can save some $$$$. I got mine installed for only $75, (but that's because I knew this guy really well) Under regular conditions I believe Mitz. wants about $150.00 for the part (being a '94 maybe less) and Mitz said it would run another $150 to install. So check around.
You are going to have to have a line in jack that connects to your mp3's hole were you put the headphones. There will usually be a place in the car that says "line in" plug the other peice into the "line in" hole in the car. There will be a button that says AUX usually by your radio push that. Then it will usually play. Unless the Galant does not have a "line in" hole
behind the plastic in the passenger side foot space on the right (behind the light) there are 3 screws holding the plastic on
There are three sensors in the transmission that control it with the computer. One sensor controls 1st and 2nd gear with the shift. The second sensor controls 3rd and 4th gear and the shift. The third sensor controls OD and TORQUE CONVERTER LOCK. In the event any of these sensors start to go bad the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT will come on and give you a code P1750. The sensor only cost around $60 and is easy to put in, but is inside the transmission. Should take less than an hour for anyone who knows what they are doing.
Open up the hood, remove the retainer wire clip or radiator hose clamp on the intake housing to the engine, pull the rubber air tube away and spray in stater fluid into the opening while someone cranks the engine.
Please note here: 1)be sure there is gas in the tank for the engine to continue running and 2) do not use gas-use of gas is an engine fire asking for a chance to happen!!
I am a female and yesterday i just changed my fuel pupm and filter which is located underneath the backseat inside the gas tank. You may need an assistant to help you because some of the hoses got in my way.
First of course you have to remove the back seat. There is a black lever under the right and left side of the bottom of the seat. Once you remove the seat there is a silver, square lid that is held down by four (4) phillip head screws. remove this carefully because there are wires and plugs inside that you do not want to rip off.
once you unscrew that piece, unplug the blue and black sockets. There are two hoses that need to be disconnected. the hard, black plastic piece must be removed by using a hammer and flathead. Carefully bang it counterclockwise to remove. Once that that piece is off, pull up the canister (it is a white canister) BE CAREFUL!! THIS IS FULL OF GAS AND NEEDS TO DRAIN!! Once it drains the canister must be taken apart to reveal the pump . There are alot of steps to do that but if you look at it you can figure out how to disassemble the canister.
I hope that this was helpful.
I had the same problem with my 94 deville except it was just one of the fuses under the hood but i alos know that sometimes when this happens your ground wire (which should be under the car on the gas tank has came loose. I would check these things first. As for your fuel door i have the same problem so i dunno The gas sensor is located on the fuel pump inside the gas tank. One day my deville ran out of gas when it showed 4 gallons. A week or two later the fuel pump failed. The shop said I needed a new fuel pump. 700 Bucks. ouch
Acetone in the gaseous form (when liquid acetone evaporates).
A tune up for a Mitsubishi Galant can mean several things. But the most common focus is replacing the air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires and routine maintenance.
It should say it under the hood where you put the transmission fluid at.. If not call up a car parts place like autozone or something they will no
If you have a key that is already programmed to your Outlander, use that key first. Place it in the ignition and turn to the "on" position five times. A light should come on your dash (looks like a car with a key inside). Once that light comes on, turn to the off position, remove your first key the place the "new" or unregistered key in the ignition and turn to the "On" position (not start). This should program your key to your Outlander.
The cabin filter is located behind the gloves compartment. You have to empty it first and fully open it all the way down until you see a plastic cover with two screws.
Remove the screws and pull the cover and filter cartridge out.
Put in the new one, tight the two screws, raise the compartment back.
It's really simple and quick! It takes longer to remove and put back the stuff into the glove compartment than replacing the filter !!! :))
I'd bet if you called the cam manufactures they would recommend a lower duration cam of about 256 degrees of total duration and lift of about .440" or so. That little engine
will respond real good if in good shape. Don't get with a wild cam as these little engines respond well around these specs. read up and explore, think about a 350 as it costs the same to build, but for around $250 a new cam, lifters , gaskets and probably timing chain up grade would do wonders for that really small block. Be sure you know how to pull the harmonic balancer and change the crank timing gear. Know that you need to pull the oil pan as it is mated to the timing chain cover and maybe buy you a 2 piece cover so if you want to change cams later you wont have to pull your pan again. Be sure you know how to pull that distributor and line it back up on top dead center and pointing at the right cylinder. you will need a puller for the balancer and you might need a lifter puller if those old lifters are stubborn. Read up on these things real good and have your cam break in lube as it is a must. Be sure you know the difference of duration at .50 and advertised duration as advertised duration is usually total duration and that is valve lift off valve seat or open. Enjoy your motoring my friend.
these are the listed engines with engine codes:
1) 4g15 1.5 l
2) 4g61 1.6 l
3) 4g93 1.8 l
4) 4g63 2.0 l
5) 6g72 3.0 l
Depends on how it is driven and maintained. If the owner is constantly driving in pedal to the metal mode, the engine is going to fail sooner than if it was driven at moderate speeds and properly maintained like changing the oil every 3000 miles.
