How do you change the rear speakers in a 1992 Nissan maxima?
Open the trunk, release all of the white plastic clips holding down the rear dash. Pull up on the rear seat to remove it. Remove the rear dash and unscrew speakers from the top. Factory connections will need to be cut and wire ends will need to be put on them. In most cases a stock clarion amplifier will run the stock speakers. This should not effect the aftermarket speakers.
Try to use the Nissan speaker adapters plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess up the electric system, you can get those from eBay or amazon. If a person uses a key to unlock an alarmed vehicle, the alarm can be turned off on the 2000 Honda Civic LX by starting the car and putting it in gear. Then, put the car in park and shut the car off. Start the car again and the alarm should go off.
When should do you use the 1 and 2 gears in a 1987 Maxima?
Normally you never need to use the 1 or 2 on the shift indicator. There are rare instances when you would want to use them. When going down a very steep incline you might want to use 2nd gear to help slow the car down and use it as a help for your brakes. You can also use 2nd when starting out on a very slippery road to avoid wheel spin. 1st gear would be used when trying to get a car unstuck, by rocking it back and forth with Reverse & 1st gear.

I disagree. It is mediocre at best when it comes to reliability. There are numerous ignition and electrical problems that occur in all of these and they're often very difficult to diagnose and fix. Stay away--buy a honda/toyota
How do you check a timing chain on Nissan Almera 2000?
Nissan Almeras have common problem with them which is the timing chain. It's a RENAULT part and gets stretched after so many miles which causes the engine to stall and not start. My Nissan stalled when I was overtaking another car and it nearly killed me. There's a recall for this defect but my vin was not included. If anyone needs contact number for customer service here it is

There are several ways to find out what the code numbers mean. 1) You can go to your local auto store and purchase the repair manual for that specific vehicle - the codes are listed for the years and model the book covers. 2) The owners manual (I am told) does have it listed within. 3) Call your local Ford dealer and the mechanic can tell you. Not to get you to spend money needlessly, but, I purchased the book and every time I have a question it has the answer. It is well worth the $15-$20 you will spend to buy it as it saves a lot of headaches and worry.

How do you remove the rear seat in a 1996 maxima?
Its actually quite simple, there are two pins under the left and right seat. All you have to do, is pull the pins (towards the front of the car) and then lift the seat out. There are 2 male end pieces that will be attached to the seat when lifting. It may feel like there are more attachments then just those two, but that's it, just tug and pull once you get those free. Be sure to slide the seat belts out too, you'll see where they go once you get the seat loosened.
Mine felt like it was stuck a lot more on the passenger side, and it was, someone spilt a coke or something a long time ago, and when it dried, it kind of acted as an adhesive between the seat cushion and the body of the car.

Is it true that if a transmission is starting to fail a new transmission fluid will make it worse?
It was (and may still be) a common practice to recommend against fluid changes in an automatic transmission if too many miles had passed without a fluid change. The primary reasons as I understood them were; the new fluid would remove sediment that may have been contributing to the proper function of the transmission, and increase hydraulic pressure, possibly contributing to failure. This practice was especially important in older Fords. I have seen the results first hand.
However, it is possible that the sediment in your transmission is causing problems and a fluid and filter change would improve performance. If you're having problems you only have the cost of a fluid and filter change to loose and the possibility of preventing further damage and failure to gain. Good luck.
How can you tell one of your control arms are bent?

How do you check the charging system on a Nissan?
If you have a DVOM, test for voltage at the positive battery cable at the battery, not testing at the battery but at the cable, when the engine is running. Now check for power at the battery post with the engine running, should be the same. Next test the battery when the engine is not running, key off, yes, this time testing for voltage at the battery post and cable, should be the same. If all four test voltages are the same, you have a charging system problem. The test at the battery cable when the engine is running should be aprox 13.5 to 14 volts at the cable. One thing to keep in mind, corrosion at the + battery cable can prevent the battery from charging and that's why the test for the charge system when the engine is running is best at the cable not the battery. If you have different readings when the engine is running at the cable and battery post, (the battery test results are the same when running and when not running, but the battery test at the cable is 13.5 to 14 volts) it is probably a corrosion problem. Clean the corrosion between the + battery cable until the voltages are the same at the cable and battery post. This is not a thorough test for the battery condition as you are only checking volts, not amps.
The cheapest way is to just take it to any Autozone , or similar parts stores ! They have the equipment on hand , AND they check it for FREE ! They will be able to tell you if you have a bad battery or faulty alternator . Most of these places are honest and tell you what if anything you nedd to replace . I thought I had a bad alternator a while back . Took it in and tested it . The battery had a bad cell in it .
So no need to buy the fancy equipment . Hope that helps !
