Where is the flasher located on a 1995 Olds Achieva?

Located by fuse panelAccording to Chilton's, it is located next to the fuse panel under the driver's side. Three Phillips screws will allow the access panel,(black plastic panel), to swing down. More detail! On the '94 Achieva I found it above the fuse panel, and toward the door, just above the emergency brake release. You need a trained monkey to change it!

Where can a diagram of the fuse box in a 1991 Oldsmobile Achieva be found?

The owners manual has a section on fuses, including pictures of the fuse box in the drivers area and the fuse box under the hood. The fuse box cover usually has a diagram on it. Aftermarket repair manuals ie. Hayne's Clymer's Mitchell's Auto repair manuals are available for about $15.00 Hope this helps.

What do you do about a 1996 Olds Achieva that runs poorly at low R's and smokes after starting?

Blue smoke = burning oil Black smoke = excesive fuel Most likey worn valve guides. I'd say too expensive to fix, & it doesn't effect the cars performance. Runs rough? Is your check enging light on? Everything is computer controled. Scan you vehicle for malfunction codes.

Why will my car start with remote starter but not with key?

There is an electrical problem between the starter switch and the starter solenoid. The most likely cause is a loose connection at the solenoid or the fusable link has melted.

How do you replace the bulb on a license plate 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva?

There are two little black circle things, right above the licence plate, that turn and then they will drop down. Once you do that you'll see.

I don't know what things are called, but I did just do this and it was easy.

How do you replace a driverside window in a 1995 achieva?

Replacing the driver's door window is a simple and fairly straight forward task. Generally, you must remove the interior door covering to access the window mounting hardware. Here are the steps I've used: 1. Roll window down about 3/4 of the way. 2. Locate and remove the screw on the rear face of the door, it may be covered with a reflector. 3. Locate and remove the screw under the door handle. 4. If the door has manual windows, remove the crank handle. 5. Starting at the bottom of the door, gently pry the door cover away from the door. It is held on with spring loaded clips. Continue in this fashion until the door cover is loose all the way around. It will still be held at the top by the window frame. 6. Move the plastic surrounding the door latch handle to the the inside of the door. Pull the handle out as far as it will go and then pull and twist the plate and push it inside the door. This is the hardest part, until you get the hang of it. 7. To remove the door cover, push the top of the cover against the door to release the tension that holds it in place. Then lift the cover straight up. The cover should come apart from the door now, except there are some wires still hold it on. The wiring connectors have retainer clips that must be lifted slightly in order to remove the connectors. Once completed, the door cover should be completely freed from the door. 8. Beneath the door cover is a plastic sheet covering. You do not need to completely remove this in order to replace the window. Instead, you will gently unstick the lower section so you can access the window glass retainer clips, which are located at the bottom edge of the glass. You may need to raise or lower the window to better align the lower edge of the glass with the access hole. 9. Remove the old glass by unbolting the clamps that hold the glass to the window lift. Once unbolted, lift and tilt the glass and then slide it out of the frame. If the old window is broken, be sure to vacuum the glass fragments out. They make noise as they rattle around in the door. 10. Reverse this process to install the new glass. Do not overtighten the glass retaining bolts. 11. Note, this same process works on any of the doors in the Achieva, and for most model years. Check the details of your particular model before starting to work.

95 Oldsmobile achieva 2.3 quad 4 engine trouble car starts runs for 10 to 15 min then starts cutting out and backfiring and dies at a stop it also when warms up it sends a crankshaft sensor code?

That really sounds like it is your O2 Sensor. I know for my 94 they are about 22.00 at Advanced Auto Parts. They are on your manifold behind the motor, by the firewall. Have a wire running from them! Hope this helps!

Where does water leak from in the driver side floor?

I've been encountering this same problem in my Chevy S-10. I've come to the conclusion that it is coming from the air conditioning unit.

How do you take off the serpentine belt belt on a 1998 olds acheiva?

Applies to all Oldmobile Achievas with a V6 3.1 liter engine.

Looking at the belt system of the Achieva you notice right away that a piece of the engine is blocking the path. That is the motor mount.

To take the belt off the pulley system, pull up on the idler pulley to take tension off the belt. Then slip the belt off and release the idler pulley.

Next you have to remove that pesky motor mount, but you cant just unbolt it! Then Engine would fall over, or worse. Instead, place a jack under the engine near the pulley end. Lift the jack to take tension off the mount and THEN unbolt it. The gap between the mount and the engine is where you have to slide the old belt out and the new belt into.

After sliding the belt into place reattach the motor mount. Make sure to torque the bolts. I noted that the engine will lean toward the rear of the vehicle when released. It may require a second person to push / pull the engine back into alignment with the motor mount. Get all of the bolts started before tightening.

Lastly, lift the idler pulley and put the belt back onto the pulleys, making sure you have centered the belt on the alternator. If you don't get it centered, it will get chewed up quickly.
