Its next to impossible to reach and release the clip holder without taking off the front dash / instrument cluster.

i have the same issue with my 96 acheiva water seems to periodically show up in driver side floor at first it seems like only does it when it rain but actually the acheiva has a catch pan around the heater core that after you shut car off. water slowly leaks from heater core into catch pan to driver side floor. next time water show up check coolant level to see if it drop any. acheiva can run very low on water before light comes on and it not effect the heat.

You must build (from scratch) a shield on top of the air intake for the heater, below the windshield. Don't ask me where to buy one, but I made one out of long sheets of durable plastic, (I'm a handyman) and screwed them into place.) They must be angled towards the front of the car, so rain can run off, and into the engine compartment, but not into the air intake vents.
Then, buy a new car and stay clear of Beretta. I had one for 16 years, (INDY) and it was hard to part with, but you MUST DO IT!
Buy an older Toyota MR2, you'll be glad you did.

PS the flasher itself may act as a fuse or the fuse may be intergrated to interact with other components as well. If your fuse panel is not marked take them out and check them one at a time and put them back making sure not to put the wrong fuse in another plug or socket.

Drain the antifreeze. Keep the drain pan under the heater core hoses. Disconnect the battery. Remove the hose clamps/ 2 hoses fom the heater core from under the hood in the engine compartment. These hoses are hard to reach. You can try to reach the hose clamps from under the raised car.
Inside the car: remove the center console if you have one (there is a little clip to pry out from the front of the trans-shift lever), heater ducts and covers and the square black plastic heater core cover. You will need various small sockets.
Then just snap the 2 straps loose and replace the core. Make sure that the hoses are not the source of the leaks. Replace the hoses if they are old. One of the hoses is 3/4" on one end and 5/8" on the other end. So, you will need a hose size adapter in the hose if it not a factory hose assembly. I dont remember the size of the other hose.
