Got this from Corvette Forum The emergency flash button -- guess what, the flasher unit is immediately behind it! Here's the sucker once it's out. The black push button on the front just pulls off away from the dashboard. The real GM manual instructions have you pull your whole dash off to remove this relay. I did mine with a brute force alternative. Take off the trim panel that goes around your radio and A/C and take off the knee panel above the pedals (see these directions -- http://www.vetteessentials.com/inst...ezel_howto.html). You'll also need to pull the radio. To do this, remove the two hex-head screws shown in the following picture, located in the light metal colored tabs extending left and right from the radio. Then pull the radio toward you. Next, you'll need to unplug the connectors from the back of the radio. They have a button to push with your thumb, which is demonstrated in the following picture, but of course you'll be doing this when the plug is still in the back of the radio. Here?s the other connectors, which also have the same type of push button, as shown in this picture after they have been disconnected from the rear of the radio. Once you have the trim pieces off and the radio out, you'll see the underside of the unit which has a tab that you can push upward -- there's also such a tab on top, but you can't get to it unless you pull the dash. In the second picture above, you can see the top tab. Push on the bottom one of those tabs with a screwdriver, and at the same time give the front of the unit a whack (note -- this picture was taken only to demonstrate the technique, and actually is the new relay after I had put the radio back in). Use a punch or chisel, and keep it to the right so it is not pushing against the push-button mechanism. If you hit it correctly, it'll slide toward the front of the car. Snake it down and here's what it'll look like: A new one is about $40 from a dealer. Plug it in, snake it back up and clip it place, reverse your steps and you're done.

It's located directly above the passenger side trans-axle shaft.

A regular 12 volt battery of any brand will do, but the battery should have at least 600 Cold Cranking Amps (CCA's) at a minimum as this is applicable to the engine of the heavier vehicle and engine. Any auto store will be able to tell you if it is top post or side post battery. Mike in Dallas, TX

Your trans fluid could be low or your trans is on it's way out the door.Some cars,reverse is the first to go.Good luck.If the fluid is not low,drop the pan replace the filter and put a trans additive in when you fill it up after the trans service.The best additive is called trans-x.

take battery terminals off over night put them back on hours later An OBDII code reader will read and clear the codes, whatever caused the malfunction will need to be repaired before it will stay off for good. Most auto parts stores will read and clear them for you for free, or you can pull the ECM fuse for a minute or so.

It should be .050

All O2 sensors are mounted on the exhaust system. Crawl under the car and count them.

160Nm (118 lb. ft.) according to the service manual.

Put it in the low side. The small round valve. Make sure the ac is on.

Sounds like the tires you are using. Upgrade to a V rated tires. Mine are smooth. Get the intake cleaned. Made a big difference in mine. Use on Premium fuel.

It sounds like you are missing on 1 or more cylinders. On this vehicle, the coil pack is a likely ciulprit. They are a fairly easy change, and should go for $50 or less at a parts store. Going to a reputable repair shop and paying for a diagnostic test is worth the money. It could also be bad injectors. Fuel consumption will probably have risen noticeably for either problem.

Dead Center at about 190 Degrees

It is located under the intake manifold it is very easy to replace but it takes a while you have to disconnect the fuel lines remove the throtle body remove the fuel injector wiring harness remove the pcv hose remove the 6 bolts and 4 studs that hold on the intake manifold and lift it up then the starter should be in plain site and all you have to do is unbolt the starter put the new one on and then reverse the beginning steps

A leaking fuel pressure regulator is the most common cause for a rich condition on the Olds Aurora 4.0L V8.

Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable, battery is under the rear seat. then remove all fasteners to the door panel,the panel slides up. Remove the plastic protector and remove the bolts that hold the regulator/motor then replace and reverse the order to install.

The Olds Aurora has the starter sitting inside of the engine. You'll need to take off the intake manifold to get to it, and even then its a tight squeeze. Once you get the intake manifold off it will be highly visible.

Yes, it takes a special socket. I borrowed one from a local Olds, Buick dealer. You can purchase one, but it is about fifty bucks. The socket lets you turn the pump about a quarter turn to remove and the reverse to install. Not hard if you are mechanicly inclined.

1. Remove plastic cover around trunk latch. There are two plastic knobs on each side that you have to remove first; which are used to hold the trunk net in place. Then pull the plastic cover up and forward from body of trunk.

2. Take deep dish ratchet or pliers to remove the three nuts holding tail light assembly in place. Push whole tail light out and then remove appropriate bulb and replace with same.

3. Check that tail light and all other bulbs are working correctly before reassembling tail light unit.

Maybe, but it would be EXTREMELY unsafe to use the 114.3 rim (or anything other than a 115) on a 115 pattern hub. They will eventually snap the lug bolts and send the tire/wheel flying away from the car, and the car careening out of control - probably at the worst possible time, i.e. high speed or hard cornering.

LOW OIL PRESSURE. Serious engine damage will occur if you keep driving this car in this condition. First thing to do is check oil level. If it is OK, then I would change the oil and install a GM, AC/Delco filter. If that does not correct the situation, check the oil pressure sending unit and see if the wires are connected correctly and are not loose. You could replace the oil sending unit or just take it to a professional. You may have an oil pump problem. An oil pressure test will verify this.
