On mine the problem was the body control module located on the drivers side above the brake pedal. It is a black box very easy to change. You can find them online from 60 to 100 dollars.

Conversely it could also be the multifunction switch. This is a little black box near the end of your turn signal level underneath the steering wheel cover. It can cause a ticking noise to be randomly heard and cause your parking lights to flicker or stay on, draining your battery. The switch can cost $800 dollars to replace. You will need to gain access to the rotating contact part of the switch that is hidden under the steering wheel covers but you will not have to remove the switch in order to clean it. You will need to buy a can of electrical contact cleaner and a can of compressed air like you use for keyboards. Both can be had at Radio Shack and both come with the red extension tube that fits the spray nozzle. First move the seat all the way back, then disconnect the battery, remove the sound deadeners, remove the two 10mm bolts at bottom of knee bolster, use your fingertips to pry the sentinel/dimmer assembly and trunk/fuel door release assembly from dash (leave harnesses connected and let dangle) to expose the remaining two 10mm bolts securing knee bolster, remove knee bolster, remove 10 amp fuse for Air Bag, disconnect SIR (air bag) yellow connector at lower left corner behind ins panel, tilt wheel up, use 3/16 or 5mm nutdriver to remove 3 screws securing steering wheel top cover (note that 1 screw is accessed thru the opening for the tilt lever while the other 2 are located on either side of the column closest to the lense/guages), remove 3 more of the same small tapping screws securing the lower steering wheel cover to column, remove black ring of text around ignition lock by pulling straight out, upper and lower covers can now be unsnapped and removed. With your left ear against the mirror control looking just forward of where the stalk goes to the column, you will see 5 tiny holes in a semi-circular pattern. When turning the headlamp switch you can see the contacts moving from hole to hole. Spray contact cleaner in the holes and immediately follow up with the compressed air can to flush out the contact cleaner. Move the headlamp switch rapidly thru all the detents and repeat several times with the contact cleaner followed by several bursts of compressed air to flush out the excess cleaner and dry. When finished, wait 30 minutes to make sure contacts are thoroughly dry then reconnect battery and test. Hopefully all is well and like me you just saved some major $

The aurora has no traditional speedometer cable. There are two sensors that send a signal to the speedometer. the first and easiest to change is located on the passenger side front transaxle, top side. Pray that it is that one because the other is located on the transmission. To remove the output sensor there is only 1 bolt and then you can lift the sensor from the well.Is easier if you use an inspection mirror.

You can fit 22's on an olsmobile but you would have to raise the car up a couple of inches

If it is in the front seat... it is because the drainage plug for the a/c is clogged.

I have a 95 aurora.. and it was doing same thing.. turns out the drain plug was blocked so condensation from the a/c vents/coils wasnt draining outside the car but inside onto the floor.. you will have to get under the car.. on the passenger side of the car on the firewall there is a little black rubber elbow coming out. Carefully pry it out.. be prepared though cause the water will gush out...clean out the build up in the rubber elbow and replace..

On the display panel Click the Engine button until it shows oil life remaining, then press and hold the Reset button a few seconds till it switches to 100% oil life remaining. The light will then extintuish

the oil pump won't make the noise but if it is bad the rods and valves may knock This could be your problem and how to check it out. Check to the Dip stick to make sure you have oil in the engine, if there is oil in the engine, then read below. I have Had the same problem with my truck. Unfortuanly it was not the oil pump. The connecting bearing spun in the engine, until it was small metal chips, then they get suck into the oil pumps screen, and you loose oil pressure or have pressure when motor starts for a few second's, the engine makes a knocking sound and does not run smooth at all. How to check if it is a spun bearing very simple dran the oil out of your truck Check the Bolt that you took out of the oil pan and see if there are small metal flaks stuck to it, also look up in the oil pan bolt hole to see if you see large metal pieces there. What can cause this problem is a long time between oil changes, that is what happend to me.

I have done this and it works GREAT..!!!!! You just have to adapt your lines to fit the shocks.. Don't be afraid to buy your shocks and install them....as long as you have skills.

Remove the serpentine belt then remove the water pump bolts and any attached hoses. It would help to know what year, model, or engine size.

It is located under the back seat in the middle. You should be able to just lift the back seat up and off.

Look above the plastic panel under the bumper on the left front of the car. The pump is up in there bolted to the frame.

Open up the drivers side door and you will see a cover pannel on the dash side. Pull the open and press the reset light until the light flashes. You must have the car ON.

It has a little button in the rear left hand corner on the bottom. This is an interlock switch. If it's not being pressed securely the shredder won't work. Just look for the little switch, press it and the shredder will work again.

One reason your Aurora may shake when you stop is your fuel injectors are not plugged in completely. It could also be due to weak spark plugs or a bad motor mount.

You have to take off the belt first. It can get very tricky because if you don't know how to put the belt back on then you have another problem. After you do that its pretty visible what you have to do. Make sure you have plugs so your fluids won't leak

PO741 = Torque Converter CKT Performance or Stuck off. Sorry I do not have the answer on how to fix it. I am currently trying to solve. Most likely the TCC solenoid has gone bad.
