Have someone small crawl into the trunk and push through the backseat--on my car (97 Olds Cutlass Supreme) you can push through the backseat on the driver's side and open the doors from the inside.

2 clips at the front... slide a flat screwdriver into them and pry off the lens carefully. when it gets undone, pull the lens forward out of the rear clips. when it comes loose, the bulb will be in it attached to a power line. twist and pull the bulb from the lens and replace it with the right type.

AnswerThe turn signal switch is locate on the steering column on the Left side as a lever that your move up and down. The same lever has a tab switch pending make for cruise control and a turn dial for windshield wipers. The Right lever is the gear shift.If the hazard light it's a black nub button on right of the steering column - near the gearshift that requires a push internal a twist & pull up on the outer ring to cut on to cut on is more difficult then cut off only issue. It's is difficult to set and difficult to release - again it is as described figuring out if you push and pull the outer ring around the button at the same time with either a a twisting action clockwise or counter clockwise.
The referral toward the glove box is where when you open it there is a panel to the left for the relay switches and fuses if it's not working it's a matter of unplugging and replacing with a new one. Usually, if not a cycle of needing the light bulb replaced the glove box relays the location if you possible location to replace fuses or unplug fuse box if servicing the battery of the car....

You always start the farthest from the reservoir, pass. side rear - dr. side rear - pass. side front - dr. side front. On each wheel is a slave cylinder that operates the brakes. On the back side is a zerk fitting, You must find a box end wrench that properly fits the zerk or bleeder valve. You can purchace a self bleeder tool, or use too people to bleed the brake system . Fill the reservoir one person pump the brake petal several times and hold pressure on the petal, while the 2nd person loosens the zerk fitting realeasing the pressure from the slave cylinder on that wheel, then tighten the fitting and repeat until only fluid comes out no air. Fill reservoir and move to the next wheel. Do all four wheels in this fashion, ALWAYS keep the fluid full, if you let the fluid get low it will suck air into the system an you'll have to start all over again.

2. Drain coolant...if new save and reuse. If not replace it with premix 50/50 antifreeze. You can mix your own but for convienence use the 50/50.
3. Remove air cleaner (if located in the way), and remove Radiator overflow tank.
4. Remove serpentine belt and tensioner...(rotate tensioner counter clockwise to release belt tension (write down routing of belt before removing)and remove the belt fromthe auxillary components and slowly release the tensioner. On 3.1 and 3.4L engines remove tensioner retaining bolt and detach tensioner assembly from the engine.
5. Remove alternator and its brackets (AC compressor if necessary)
6. Remove small belt guard just above water pump (on 3.1L)
7. Remove water pump mounting bolts (around the perimeter of the pump- approximately 5 of them) and remove the pump. If it is stuck tap with a SOFT-face hammer GENTLY!!!
8. clean fastener threads and any threaded holes in the engine to remove corrosion and sealant. Remove any residual gasket material left on block.
Use Lacquer thinner or acetone to clean the engine and water pump surfaces that will come into contact with each other.
Apply NEW gasket if not attached to H2O pump
Installation is:1. Attach pump and gasket to eng block and start the bolts finger tight Tighten in 1/4 turn increments to torque Torque for 3.1 and 3.4L is 89 in-lbs....THIS IS NOT VERY HARD!!! TIGHTEN WITH SOCKET AND RACHET TILL 1/2 TURN PAST TIGHT!!!!!

The car had to be raised and the engine lowered since the alternator is located on the rear of the engine towards the bottom. See question regarding the 1995 Cutlass Supreme . I suppose you could, but these idler pulley's are not that expensive to replace the whole thing. They do fail (a weakpoint for these motors), but usually give some audible warning, also check for loosness. Do your best to purchase the steel idler pulley and the bearing will come with. When these items do "let go" they can leave you stranded, if you see a problem replace as soon as possible. Hope this helps. "G"
