What is the type of refrigerant used in a 1994 Oldsmobile 98?

It is R134a. Please under NO circumstances use the refrigerant that has stop leak added. If you have to take it to a repair shop and need repairs, it will ruin the equipment that is used to recover the refrigerant. Also, you need to be exact in the amount that is in the system. There should be a sticker under the hood with all of the information on it.

Where is the location of the blower motor relay for a 1990 olds 98?

There are relays in multiple locations on both the Buick Park Avenue and Olds 98 series vehicles. They are located in 1 of 3 areas. under the hood of the vehicle there is a plastic cover that covers up 1 or more of them (located on the firewall right under the hood). Also there are a couple located on the front driver side next to the air intake housing between the headlight and fender well. There are also relays under the dash on certain years and models of both of these vehicles. These are located under the passenger side of the dash behind the glove compartment.

On a 1990 olds 98 the problem is no brake lights or taillights i do have headlights and turn signals thanks?

If you have no brake lights or tail lights then you've probably got an electrical problem. Check the fuses first and see if you have one or more blown.

Where are the fuse boxes located in 1990 Oldsmobile 98 regency?

Oh, dude, the fuse boxes in a 1990 Oldsmobile 98 Regency are like these sneaky little things hiding in plain sight. You can find one under the hood near the battery, just chilling there. The other one is hanging out under the dashboard on the driver's side, like it's playing hide and seek. Just remember, when dealing with fuses, be gentle, they're sensitive little guys.

Where is the flap located that closes and Opens to receive heat and air on a 1988-98 Oldsmobile?

On my 1983 Oldmobile 98, I noticed the flap is locate right next to the Heater Core. That whole assembly is located under a black plastic cover in the engine compartment on the passenger side, under the windshield wiper. You can easily find the heater core by following the heater core hose from the radiator. Accessing the system requires breaking the seal on the whole A/C/Heating system, so take your time to find all the bolts and cut the sealant to remove the cover. New sealant will have to be applied once the cover is re-installed. Like I said, I have no working knowledge of a 1988 Olds, but only a 1983.

If you are attempting to replace the alternator how do you release the belt tensioner on a 1988 Oldsmobile 98?

The alternator is sitting on a guide. It is held on it by a bolt. All you have to do is loosen that bolt and the belt pressure sould realese.

Look around for a wheel that is touching the belt but appears to have no other purpose...this is the tensioner. Use a long handled wrench on the nut in the middle of the tensioner.

there should be a diagram under the hood, in front of the radiator, that will show belt routing and show where the tensioner is...

Disableing leveling sensor?

I had to disable the leveling pump on my son's 86 Olds 98 because it would turn on by itself everytime you would get in or out of the car or even if it was just sitting there. The 98 has adjustable air shock to level the car, but our 98's shocks were wore old and worn out. I disconnected the air pump underneath the hood on the driver's side. It looks like a small black air compressor near the headlights with a clear thin plastic tube coming out the back of it. Just disconnect the the wiring harness from the pump and it will stop working.
