Remove wiper assembly plastic cover. Then remove front nut that holds the cross suspension bar. Rotate suspension bar from over the battery to a new location and proceed to remove the plastic bottom mount on bottom of battery. Rotate battery up and out of compartment -- this is a very tight clearance. It will come out and the clearance is very small. This is a neat challenge. Be sure to buy proper size battery for replacemeent.

It depends on the year and the engine size. On the 3.8 the 3 coil packs are located at the front of the engine on the right (passenger)side of the vehicle above the ECM. They are held down with 2 small metric screws. Disconnect the sparkplug wires noting where each goes and replace the packs, changing the rubber gasket around the electrical connection and applying dielectric grease to the top of the ECM and the wire connectors. On the 3.4 they are much harder to access. They attach the same way accept they are at the top, rear of the engine compartment, toward the center.

44ft lbs on all and then go back an additional 95 degrees. (95 degrees is just over a quarter turn) Make sure you follow the correct torque sequence. That might be a little difficult to explain with out a photo but I will try. There are 4 bolts across the bottom and 4 across the top. If you are standing at the front of the car facing it. Bottom row 2nd bolt from the left. Top row 2nd bolt from the left. Top row 3rd bolt from the left. Bottom row 3rd bolt from the left. Bottom row 1st bolt on the left. Top row 1st bolt on the left. Top row 4th bolt from the left (last one on right) Bottom row 4th bolt from the left (last one on the right) You should always replace your head bolts once you have torque them down to get the correct torque.
The overhead computer is power by two fuses, one under the hood on the right front labled radio and the other in the fuse block on the right end of the dash as you open the passenger door. There is a panel there you pull off to access the block. Third row of fuses from left, fourth or fifth up labled radio also. This circuit runs the sliding rt side door also.

Remove the under hood fuse box, then remove the fender brace. This give acess to the battery, which can be disconnected and lifted out. It is not as difficult as it may sound.
my 2000 oldsmobile did this after it got an antifreeze hose behind the motor and come find out ... the mechanic accidently broke off the VACCUM hose that goes from the top front of the motor to a couple connection areas.

Completely remove the inside door panel. Since the window is down, the two screws that hold the window glass to the regulator should be easily acessable. Remove these two screws. Disconnect the regulator from the window glass. Push the window glass up to the very top. A bungy cord can be used to hold the glass up while the motor is being removed. Hook the bungy cord to the top of the door. Hook the other end to the bottom of the window glass.
