For a 2.4 litre engine, where the pressure cap is that is the thermostat housing..if you try to remove the pressure cap (in cold temperature only) you will see the thermostat..A damaged thermostat can be diagnosed when an engine running is at above normal temperature by squeezing the radiator hose connected to the thermostat housing..if there is no coolant running in it the thermostat is close then replace it.

If it is similar to other Chrysler products, remove rear wheels, remove caliper mounting bolts, slwide caliper off rotor, remove rotor. Inside rotor should be a small set of brake shoes with adjusting wheel. Adjust in small increments and do both wheels equally.

None in the muffler, one oxygen sensor before and one after the catalytic converter.

There may be many reasons why a 97 Plymouth Breeze won't start after running it out of gas. Even after you've put gas back in, if the spark plugs are bad or the battery is dead, the car will not start.

The front tires need to be off the ground.

My horn on my Plymouth Breeze was under the front manifold of the car. Have a friend or family member get inside your car and honk the horn as you listen for it. I would advise wearing ear plugs though, unless your car horn doesn't work. If it is not working then look under the manifold in the grill slots, and also maybe underneath the manifold. I have seen them there before too.

It may be because you keep your foot on the accelerator at the same time.

Go buy a wiring harness. It clips right in to the old wiring, and only takes about 3 seconds. Its about 15 dollars, and you only need to wire the new harness to the new CD player/radio, and the colors will match.

You can replace the timing belt on a 1998 Plymouth Breeze 2.0 engine using a Harmonic Balancer Puller 5.

There is a flange(part that the starter bolts to). looking at the front there are two bolts that hold on the starter, the lower one the bolt threads point to the right(driver side) the upper one the bolt threads point to the left(passenger side) i used an extension to get the bottom one out. hope this helps

There is also a small switch on the transmission that goes bad.This prevents the transmission from shifting. Bring it to a transmission shop and have it changed. It usually costs about $100 or so including labor... or you can do it yourself.

Easy answer. You can't travel more than a few feet with a broken tie rod. A tie rod is an essential link between the steering wheel and the tire. A broken tie rod will allow the tire to steer any direction with no control by the driver. --Ken

Spray down the throttle body outside to clean it & prevent anything from sticking there. Then while the engine is running spray inside intake as long as possible without stalling the engine. This should do it.

yes, they are the same engine. however the neons changed the electrical connectors in 1997 so if your breeze is 97 or up then try to get a neon motor from 97 or up. if you cant, then you will have to change all the sensors.
