In order to siphon gas from a 2001 suburban, you will just need a hose pipe and a can. Place the hose pipe into the fuel tank and suck with your mouth and direct that end to the can. This is rather dangerous as it may cause various hazards.
The Fuel pump is inside the gas tank and only a qualified professional should attempt replacing it.
First the fuel tank needs to be emptied completely. Then the tank needs to be dropped. Then using a brass bar and a brass hammer, so as NOT to cause sparks there is a round plug with the fuel line coming into the tank, using the bar and hammer tap the plug open there you will find the fuel pump. The fuel filter is outside of the tank follow the line from the tanks and replace the filter also.
GOOD LUCK! This is VERY dangerous because there need to be good ventilation and the car should be lifted off the ground by at least a foot with chocks.
Ball joints on this car, like most, are pressed into the lower control arm. If you don't have a good pneumatic press, you either take the lower control arm off and take it to a mechanic, or just take the car to the mechanic. If the ball joint fails, the wheel falls off. Considering the importance of having the wheels stay on, I would let a mechanic with the proper tools handle this. I do brakes, shocks, struts, tie rod ends, half-shafts, engines, but not ball joints.
It could be your catalytic converter... yes, catalytic converters clog on these often. its fairly easy to unbolt it from the exhaust manifold. if you take it off, shine a flashlight up from the bottom, you should be able to see light from the top.
Under hood, driver side, upper engine area, mounted on end of engine block
Did you install a fully charged battery of the correct group size and connect the cables securely?
Did you incorrectly jumpstart the car with the cables reversed and break things before replacing the battery?
Did it turn over before you replaced the battery?
Run the A/C all the time until you get it fixed. It will run anytime the A/C is on. It has to be a defective thermal switch, or defective wiring, for the fan if the fan itself is good.
I had the same problem and it was a simple $11 relay switch that solved the problem
It's a 10 amp fuse, but, at least on my '94 model, it's in position 15, which is on the far right, one down from the top. the number on the fuse is ten

When you replaced the headgasket, did you have the head checked? It could be warped, causing the gasket to fail, or worse it could be cracked. I've also seen the water jackets within the block crack if it overheated to many times.
Cyclops are told to be large giants with one eye, but cyclops simply means one having a single eye.
Sounds like part of a heater hose. Sounds like part of a formed heater hose.
You can change it. See the Do-It-Yourself guide here.
