What do you do if your 93 Pontiac Bonneville wont start after changing the ignition?

Changed the ignition?? The key tumbler? The switch itself? The parts under the hood? IF the key, was the part in the column in good condition. Did the key assembly seat properly? If the switch itself, it is adjustable to a degree and may not be in the right place. Under the hood? Depends of what was changed.

Will a stop leak fix a antifreeze leak by the intake manifold?

NO additives are recommended by any good mechanics. Only the full repair is best especially whem dealing with coolant leaks. Usually intake leaks are from years of corrosion the coolant will turn to acid in most oif todays cars if not treated you will have much internal damage. the external leaks will only show up when damage is done. Dont write off the vehicle it ,will be much cheaper to repair than pay the extra cost for insurance ,interest loss of value for new cars.....

My 93 Bonneville will start but won't stay running unless i give it some gas?

How much horsepower does a 1989 Pontiac Bonneville SSE have?

It has the 3800 V6 used from 1988-1991, so it will have 165 horsepower. Don't be fooled though, these cars are still fast, I've driven one. If you were wondering, it has 210 lb/ft of torque. =)

How do you change the starter on a '99 Bonneville. It looks like I will have to jack the engine up. Do I have to remove both the motor shock and motor mount?

I actually did one last night. First disconnect the negative battery terminal. The starter is located at the front of the engine. You will have to lift the front of the car up via a jack or ramps. Then you will have to remove the front cover that is underneath the radiator. It has bolts all of the way around. Once that is done you can get at the starter relatively easily. There are two bolts one is hidden underneath a small pastic cover where the starter meets the flywheel. Remove the starter by removing the two bolts. One is locater in the front and one is located at the back. Disconnect the two wires and Install the new starter. A word to the wise Have starter shims handy you will definitely need them. Take my word for it.. Thanks Good luck....

Why won't a 1990 Pontiac Bonneville SSE 3800 V6 start when the temperature is 0F or less unless the block heater is plugged in for a couple of hours?

The car is 15 years old so it doesn't have as good compression as when it was new. Besides, -20 is getting somewhat cold and therefore the oil is cold creating drag inside the motor, fuel doesn't combust as good as when it's warm and your battery doesn't turn the motor over as well as it does in the summer. All this contributes to hard starting.
