How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 1995 Pontiac Firebird?

Under the hood, there are round turning knobs that allow you to manually lift your headlights. Turn them all the way (I don't remember if it's clockwise or counter-clockwise) and you should see the headlight opening up. Once it's open, it should just be a matter of unscrewing the outside bracket (leave the inside bracket that's surrounding the headlight intact) and replacing the headlight.

Replacing the headlight is not an easy thing to do but it's not real complicated.

Is 2004 and 2005 grand marquis parts interchangable?

Mercury changed the style of the Grand Marquis in 1995. 92-94 are compatible, 95-97 are compatible. You might be able to force it and figure out a way to get it to work, but it probably wont look good. My family have a 1993 and 1997 Marquis, and the front ends are different.

How do you install a aftermarket tachometer in a 97 firebird?

What you will probably have to do is one, make sure that if your are going to put in an aftermarket tach, it is the same size if you are going to put it in the dash. Then you will have to remove the dash, (you might have to take off little plastic ring around guages) then take out tach, disconnect wires, and install the new tachometer.

Can you replace a v6 to a v8 in a Pontiac firebird?

Yes, but!!!!!!! You will also need to replace the: transmission, drive shaft, replace/regear the rear differential, ECM, exhaust, probably the motor mounts/locations on the front crossmember/engine cradle, front springs (v6 not strong enough), front shocks? (check part #'s)...I am sure that is not all. It is certainly MUCH more advantageous to sell and buy a v8 model. The only way this would be useful is if you had a donor car with all of these items and you were planning on putting a really beefed up engine in or something and putting in custom components anyhow.

The canister on the firebird is located on top of the gas tank. Drop the driveshaft. then the rear axle, then disconnect the fuel filler tube, then drop the tank. The canister will be right in front of the fuel pump on top of the tank.

How do you fix the horn on 1991 firebird?

First thing that you need to do is check the fuse in the fuse box. If this is good then next you need to check the Horn relay. It is just to the passenger side of the steering wheel under the dash. It is a little difficult to get to. I advise sitting upside down in the seat of the car with your feet over the top of the seat. Next you will have to remove the black plastic cover that runs along under the dash from the side by the door to the center of the car. It is held on with 2 clips that easily remove. Next you will see a black box that unplugs easily. This is the buzzer for the seat belts etc. The relay is behind the buzzer. It is a three pronged square relay. I advise looking at a picture on one at auto-zone or oreileys website. This part is only about $6 and is usually the problem if the fuse is good. If it is neither the relay or the fuse ten it is one of three things. either the horns themselves that re located in the front driver's side fender, the wires are broken (probably in the steering column) or the switches in the steering wheel. There are 2 horns and two switches. If the relay is good and the fuse is good, then the wiring is most likely the problem if neither horn blows with either switch. (both switches work both horns). To test the horns remove the wire and use a multiimeter to see if you have power to the horn. If you have power at the horns then the horns are no good. If you have no power at this point then I would buy an aftermarket horn switch and run the wiring strait from the fuse box to the horn relay. find a wiring diagram for help on that. God Bless and best of luck to all.

Why would your ac only blow out the top defrost and not vents 92 firebird?

Near the firewall under the hood, there is a little vacuum hose that has a plastic disk looking thing in the hose. This piece actually has to do with an engine backfiring, but that disk thing is probably cracked from heat and age. Needs to be replaced. If that is okay or you can't find it, Look for a vacuum hose going into the firewall, follow it to the intake and make sure it has vacuum. If it does, then the problem is inside the car, probably has a leaking vacuum line behind head unit or needs a head unit.

How do you replace the front turn signal bulb located on a 2002 Pontiac Firebird?

Under the front body work on the car there is a small panel with 2 10mm bolts. This panel is just in front of the front wheels. Unless you have a lift, you must lay on your back to see the panel. Remove the 2 bolts and the panel will fold down. You now know will need to stick you whole arm up towards the rear of the light housing and turn the harnest to remove the bulb. There is plenty of wire to pull the bulb to you. You can replace the fog light and turn signal using the method. Lots of fun. Whatever you do, don't remove the light from the front/outside. Doing so will cause the adjusment spring to fall into the light; very hard to get spring back on! It unscrews from the rear of the light. Sometimes you have to remove the light to get to it.

Where is the turn signal flasher for a 1999 Pontiac Firebird located?
