Find the thermostat housing. There should be an air bleeding screw located on the top side of the housing. As you add water to the radiator open the screw until water runs without the sign of air bubbles.

I just had the fuel pump changed at a cost of $1350. Then the fuel guage was faulty so they had to take the whole system out again and send it back to the manufacturer and no cost to me. Every time I take my 1997 Pontiac Firebird Formular in for any service they say mine is the most difficult car on the market to fix. Tomorrow I need to get the spark plugs changed and they say that will need to include a full tune up at another ridiculous cost $600 because mine are the most difficulty to change of any car. Do you think I am being ripped off by my garage? I bought the car new with 42 miles on the clock and now it has 100,000 so the electrics need checking. I have done everything the log book said with dates on each service. I love my car but the costs are getting out of control because - "This is the most difficult car on the road to fix" - according to mechanics. hmmmmmmmmmm!

disconnect the cable from the negative terminal on the battery. remove the left side wiper and cowl grill. remove the wiper linkage assembly bolt and nut. remove the wiper link and unplug the electrical connector. remove the motor assembly to chassis bolt, detach the motor from the bracket and lift it from the cowl opening. put the new one in in reverse.

Loook in your owners manual, I use syntheric blend 20w50

I believe if both have a manual T5 transmission it will.

Actually there are 2 flashers under the dash under the steering column. One on right side of the column and one on the left side of the column. One is for emergency flashers and one is for signal lights. Hope this helps.

I assume from your question that you may be looking for Comanche taillights? Since Jeep quit selling them about 3 years ago, they have been very hard to find. Due to the limited production of the Comanche, aftermarket companys have not reproduced them and they lights have actually become quite rare. If you search Jeep Comanche taillight on eBay you may have some success if you are persistent.

The plastic gears in the headlight motors disintergrate after time. I searched on the web and found someone who sells a gear replacement kit for around $20. It came with instructions and I pulled out each motor and opened each up and after a powdery substance poured out of each motor, (the disintergrated old gears) I inserted the new gears reclosed the motors and reinstalled. To this day both my headlight motors work like new. It is easy if you are mechanically inclined at all. That's the only answer that I know of. You can leave the situation alone for now but eventually the gears will completely give out causing the headlights to stay up down or both. There is not limit relay; when you flip the headlights down does it sound like a spinning noise? If so, the motors have gone bad and need to be replaced. Autozone. Life Time Warranty.

yes it still works the same on a automatic car that is turbo, as it does on a manual, it works off the waste gate not the tranny

Sounds like you have a short in the main wire that goes from the computer to your gauges it doesnt have anything to do with your fuses.

Under the hood right by the light housing there should be a knob that you can turn manually to open the headlights

Not in the literal sense, but you could configure a base Trans Am with the same features and options as a WS6 model if you were so inclined.

bank 2 is the opposite side of cylinder #1. check the plugwires to see what side #1 cylinder is on and its the other side oxygen sensor

The Electrical diagram for the 1979 Pontiac firebird instrument panel is found in the maintenance manual. The fuse box diagram is found in the owners manual.

The fuel pump on most fuel injected firebirds is in the fuel tank. This entails jacking the car up, lowering the rear axle, and completely removing the fuel tank. This is time consuming and difficult job. Be sure your fuel tank is as empty as possible before you go unstrapping the bands that hold it in place.

you might have to take the door panel off or loose to access the 3 mirror bolts that hold it on but it's a simple operation, and if it's electric you just have to remove the 3 bolts and unplug the wires.

Driver's side head. the first spark plug in the front.

Firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Driver's side head front to rear is 1-3-5-7

The other head ........................is 2-4-6-8

On Drivers side. Toward the rear of the vehicle.
