What is the firing order for a 1983 Pontiac Grand Prix 305?
Looking at the motor from the front with the hood open, starting on the right (drivers side) from closest to farthest. The closest cylinder on the right is cylinder 1, then 3, then 5, then 7, all odd numbers.
Same scenario on the passenger side of the car, from closest to farthest standing in front of the car looking in, would be 2, then 4, then 6, then 8.
== == i had the same problem on my 2003. i fixed it by taking the radio completely out of the dash and dismantling the front face of it. the lightbulb connector on the screen display was loose. you actually have to do it in your car to get the light to work. just slowly rotate it til it turns on while you have your car on ac. either you can trust it where it is after it comes back on or you can hot glue it.
There's only one thing you need to do; remove the motor mount :) Remove the S/C belt, tensioner and idler also remove the front lift bracket, the passenger side dog bone, the passenger side engine mount bracket(it has the coils on it), unplug the spark plug wires, remove the spark plug wires from the spark plug wire cover, the spark plug wire cover, remove the 6 valve cover bolts and pull the valve cover. Install a new O ring and reinstalled the cover. Torque to about 89 in lbs. The back side is a bit tougher. Unbolt the 2 front dog bones and tilt the engine forward. You may have to loosen the the alternator, disconnect the neg. battery terminal, unplug the rear bank spark plug wires or disconnect them from the coils and move them out of the way, remove the rear lift bracket, remove the rear engine cover bracket, there is a sensor on the drivers side of the engine that needs to come off, 2 10 MM bolts, and several vacuum lines need to be removed. Do the same steps on the O ring and bolts as above. Hope this helps. "G" more speicifically: To remove the engine mount of which you speak. *1. Take off SC belt. *2. Take off SC idler pulley with a 15mm wrench or socket. *3. Take off SC tensioner pulley with a 13mm deepwell socket. *4. Take off bolt that attaches bracket to head with 15mm deepwell socket. *5. Start to take the nut off from the long bolt underneath the coil packs with 13mm deepwell socket (or 15mm, can't remember for sure). Hope this helps. "G"

Where is the fuse for the washer fluid pump in a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix?
I believe it is fused with your wipers. If the pump is not working make sure that it is not iced up by the pump and that the wire connector is attached to the pump. My wifes car quit because of just a little ice build-up. I hope this helps you. Mark
FYi,
I own a 2003 grand am and have the same problem, my blower motor works on all speeds so it is not the overpriced blower relay. Based on past experiences with Pontiacs the blower motor is going bad. I owned a 1969 Firebird with 100,000 miles and the blower motor had to be replaced at 100,000 miles, this 2003 Grand Am has 70,000 miles and the motor is already going bad. I have already had to replace my rotors as they were bad at 55,000 miles, the head gasket is already leaking, I have already had to replace the ignition switch as it went bad at 50,000 miles. What a overpriced piece of junk, this Pontiac Grand Am will be the last of my "Big 3" American automaker purchases. My best advice is to unload all 2003 Grand Ams you can before they end up costing 3 times the original purchase price in maintenance that is caused by poor workmanship and farming out production from American workers to 3rd world countries.

Temperature Actuator Replacement LH
Removal Procedure
1.Remove the left instrument panel insulator (this is the carpeted cardboard piece above the brake pedal that connects to the knee bolster)
2.Remove the knee bolster (this is the pad below the steering column)
3.Remove the steering column filler (this is the metal piece behind the knee bolter, under the steering colum) (4 larger bolts, and I think 2 smaller ones)
4.Disconnect the electrical connector from the temperature actuator.
5.Remove the HVAC Con (HVAC Control) MiniFuse #27 from the IP electrical center.
6.Remove the mounting bolts from the temperature actuator.
7.Remove the temperature actuator.
Installation Procedure
1.Position the temperature actuator, then align the slots in the electric actuator driver to the flats on the temperature valve shaft.
2.Slide the electric actuator driver onto the shaft, while aligning the actuator locating hole to the forward alignment pin on the HVAC module case. The actuator driver should completely seat onto the temperature valve shaft and the mounting holes should be flush with the mounting bosses on the HVAC module case.
3.Install the mounting bolts to the temperature actuator.
Tighten the temperature actuator bolts to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
4.Connect the electrical connector to the temperature valve electric actuator.
5.Install the knee bolster.
6.Install the left instrument panel insulator.
7.Install the HVAC Con (HVAC Control) MiniFuse #27 from the IP electrical center.

Chances are it is NOT a faulty battery. Your alternator is likely the problem. There are 3 diodes inside the alt that stop the current from flowing backward when the engine is off. It is probably easier and cheaper to just replace the alternator if you are not electrically inclined.
I've told people this in the past and they told me; "that can't be true. The alt is only one year old. I had it changed last year." I tell them so what, that doesn't mean anything. Weather it's a year, one month or ten years doesn't stop it from being the alternator. How do you open the hood of a 1995 Grand Prix?
For my 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, I look through the "grill" and see a wire hanging down, if you tug down on that wire the hood will pop up a bit, then simply lift up on it and push in the button near the middle of the front of the hood.
HI,The hood release on this vehicle is on the floorboard in between the drivers seat and drivers doorjamb rather than under the dash.

O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 Pontiac grand prix 2000 location of this sensor?
Oxygen Sensor
Some vehicles have (2) and some have (4) O2 sensors.
When you start looking at the O2 sensors, they are normally numbered something like "Bank 1 Sensor 1" Bank 1 is on the passenger side; Bank 2 is on the driver's side. Sensor 1 is the upstream sensor (near the frame, between the block and the cat) and Sensor 2 is near the Y-pipe (downstream of the cat).
Normally it is the upstream sensors (sensor 1) that go first. They see the harshest conditions.
You will need;
Oxygen Sensor Socket
Anti-Seized
Penetrating Oil
I have even used a small plumbers propane tank and heat it up and it help get them free.
Sometimes it will take 15 minutes or take a few hours it depends on your luck...

How do you make a burglar alarm with light sensor?
get a flashlight or other focused beam of light and shine it across a walkway, and when the person breaks the beam of light the sensor stops sending a signal and a relay would switch over and that triggers the alarm....(a relay will change the circuit route) power on = one circuit path ...power off = a different circuit path
your car has one for the starter ..turn the key and it switches to path-1 routing massive power to the starter....key releases and starter stops = path-2 routing regular power to the car
