Put the car up on jack stands, craw under the front on your back and look in the front of the engine, there is a plastic peice that you may have to remove and 2 bolts for the starter. 10 to 15 min.

empty the oil out of it then remove the bolts from the nose. i believe there is 13 of them but not sure. then carefully slide it off. remove the coupler. then replace the coupler. line up the holes and reattach the nose. replace the bolts and tighten them down. fill up the supercharger oil.

Follow the top rad hose back to the engine block. Under the housing where the hose connects is where the thermostat is located. The housing is usually bolted down with 2 bolts. Hope this helps. "G"

Not really. The sensor is on the drivers' side near the top of the bell housing. It is secured by two bolts. You might need an extension with a universal-joint at one end or the other to make the bend. There should be a paper spacer on the end of the sensor that needs to be in place prior to re-installing.

Adding octane booster, or using higher octane fuel, will not hurt your car. Octane is actually a combustion inhibitor, not an accelerant. If your engine is truly knocking, it's because the fuel/air mixture, during the compression stroke, is igniting before the spark plug is expected to fire. (The fuel/air mixture, under compression, should not "explode" before your distributor sends the "Voltage" needed to make the spark plug fire. This should only happen at the very end of the compression stroke.) Adding higher octane fuel will prevent the fuel from igniting under compression, allowing the compression cycle to complete its phase to completion. Higher octane fuel also burns slower, so it may even smooth-out your idle. Either way, your car should be fine - Just make sure your plugs are gapped properly, and knocking is really the problem - The best bet is to just go up one octane level at the pump. If the problem goes away, stay with that grade fuel. If not, go up to premium - And check again. (If your vehicle is designed for 87 octane fuel and you need to burn 91 octane fuel to stop knocking, I'd seriously consider having a mechanic diagnoe the problem.)

This car is equipped with a Supercharger. All superchargers whine. This is normal and is inherently something you live with when you drive a car equipped with a supercharger.

shift lock is malfunctioning. you can bypass it there is a little "switch" on the side of your shifter for this purpose. that should help temporarily i believe there is a sensor to tell it when to shift out of park and that when this malfunctions you're stuck in park

It's on the very bottom of the engine.

I had to remove the coil packs, just 4 bolt and tip it over to the side then you can lay over the engine to feel for the plugs. I was told to unbolt the top too engine mount and rock the car forward, it will tip the engine forward and you can see all 3 plugs.

The ignition switch is immediately behind and attached to the ignition lock cylinder. The ignition lock cylinder is where you place the key to start your vehicle. If you are haveing problems with your vehicle not starting and or turning the key, more than likely you need to replace the ignition lock cylinder. It is common for these to go bad in GM vehicles.

Get a "Haynes" manual for Gran Prix at an autoparts store; it will have pretty good instructions on how to do it along with helpful pictures. The procedure is too long to describe here...

The most common problem when a car's heater fan doesn't shut off when the car is shut off is that the resistor on the blower motor has gone bad. The fuse that powers the resistor should also be checked.

Front Floor Console Replacement Removal Procedure 1. Apply the park brake. 2. Remove the floor console bolts from the sides of the console. Adjust the front seats as required. 3. Shift the transaxle to 2. 4. Remove the screw from the shift handle. Remove the shift handle. 5. Pull the floor console rearward slightly. Disconnect the electrical connector at the front of the floor console. 6. Remove the floor console. 7. Remove the wiring harness. 8. Remove the HUD switch, if equipped. 9. Remove the traction control switch. 10. Remove the accessory power receptacles. 11. Remove the armrest and the hinge. Installation Procedure 1. Install the armrest and the hinge. 2. Install the accessory power receptacles. 3. Install the traction control switch. 4. Install the HUD switch, if equipped. 5. Install the wiring harness. 6. Position the floor console to the vehicle. 7. Connect the electrical connector at the front of the floor console. Slide the floor console toward the front of the car. 8. Install the shift handle. Install the shift handle screw. 9. Shift the transaxle to P. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice. 10. Install the floor console bolts. Adjust the front seats as required. Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in). 11. Release the park brake.

the nut is metric, I think it is 32 mm , how ever a 1 7/16'' standard socket will work

No. Mustang pattern is 5x114.3 and grand prix is 5x115. But they will fit as long as the backspacing is correct
