The answer to your question is your Fuse Box is located Driverside under dashboard right up in the corner of your left upper floor board beneath the dash. Just inches from your Emergency Brake!
The 1963 and earlier Tempests used a transaxle similar to the one used in the Chevy Corvair. The transmission and left and right rear axles are a single subassembly. What is unusual is that the Tempest's engine was in the front of the car and the transmission was in the rear. It was more common for rear engine cars, such as the VW Beetle, Porsche, and Corvair to use a transaxle.
Where is the crank sensor on a 1988 Pontiac Lemans with a 1.6liter?
The crank sensor is actually built into the distributor on this year (changed in 89). It is the four pointed mechanism underneath the rotor (white spinny thing), which is underneath the cap (black plastic thing, right of engine, 5 wires.)
The sensor is notorious for going bad, much before the electronics or coil. The coil is next in line, though.
It's a good idea to also touch the pickup coil and make sure that it doesn't move around. The distributors on these cars are well known to fail/fall apart. There are two different styles for 1988. Make sure you copy down the number off of the top of the distributor where it meets the head.
How much horse power and torque does a 1973 Pontiac le mans have?
There were several different options for engines in the '73 Le Mans...
Where is the radiator drain plug located on a 1992 Pontiac lemans?
I believe it doesn't have one. To drain it you will have to take out the electric fan, take off the tranny cooler lines if it is an automatic & all the rad hoses. THEN TAKE OUT THE RAD VERY CAREFULLY.
Where is the horn relay switch located on a 1968 Pontiac lemans?
On the firewall to the left of the wiper motor
I need A 1991 Pontiac lemans wiring diagram?
Try eBay for a cheap factory shop manual. It is in mine.
How do you replace a 1970 Pontiac lemans heater motor?
you should be able to unbolt the motor from the firewall on the passenger side of the car
Try replacing the gauge cluster. 93' LeMans should cost you $15-20 at a wrecking yard.
How many quarts of engine oil does a 1968 Pontiac Le Mans take?
5 quarts, run it and check level.
Most Pontiacs take 6 with a filter change.
Where is the hood release on a 1974 Pontiac lemans?
Inside the car, just in front of the drivers door, just like most other cars.
On the hood, it's just to the right (Your left as you look at it) of the center catch, push it up with your left hand and lift the hood with both hands.

How do you a remove sterio from 1990 Pontiac lemans?
My recollection is that there are four little holes; two at the right side and two at the left side. You need to stick a suitable sized wire into the holes and that will unlatch some metal prongs that hold the stereo in place. Then it should pull out.
How much horsepower does a 1969 Pontiac Lemans have?
325 Bhp from the 350ci
That is only with the optional HO engine which is fairly rare. The more common 265 HP is most likely what's sitting under the hood.
How do you replace a broken timing belt on a '93 Pontiac Lemans?
You should take your car into a mechanic and check the valves as damage can result in a broken timing belt
The top pulley has a mark imprinted on the side. Make sure the line is at TOP DEAD CENTER. The bottom smaller pulley has two notches. They face DEAD BOTTOM.
This engine, through trial and error, has no problem with valve damage as I tried many ways (after turning the engine by hand first to check for knock or seizing)
What is the horsepower rating on a 1966 Pontiac lemans 326 engine?
1966 326 horsepower ratings 8-326 2bbl 250 hp @ 4600 rpm torque 333 ft lbs @ 2800 rpm compression 9.2:1 8-326 4bbl 285 hp @ 5000 rpm torque 359 ft lbs @ 3200 rpm compression 10.5:1
The 326 thru 455 Pontiac engine has the same external dimensions. You should be able to swap your original A/C brackets from the original engine to the 455. It won't take any body mods at all.
Sounds like you probably have smaller diameter tires then specified by GM. Check the specs for your recommended tire and wheel size for your car.
How do you set the timing on a 1988 Pontiac lemans?
1. Start the car and get it warm
2. Turn the car off
3. Jumper the ALDL (Diagnostic) terminal at the computer
There is a small plastic cover in the passenger-side footwell. The diagnostic connector is behind this cover. Connect a jumper wire between the left two lower-most spots in the connector. I use a roofing staple for this. This step is essential because it disables the computer from adjusting the ignition advance.
4. Observe the service engine soon light to make sure it is flashing
5. Connect the inductive pickup on the timing light to the coil wire
6. Check the label under the hood for the timing specification. The manuals say 10 degrees BTDC, but there is a TSB that says 8 degrees BTDC. If you live where there are SMOG checks, go with the value on the underside of the hood.
11. Adjust the timing by loosening the distributor hold down screw and rotating the distributor toward or away from you. My recollection is that away from you advances the engine.
The timing marks are a v cut in the crank pulley and a small black plastic pointer that sits to the right and above the crankshaft pulley. It's nigh impossible to see on a car with air conditioning because the AC cars have an extra deep crankshaft pulley. I use a white paint pen to make it reflective.
What is the correct timing for a 1969 Pontiac le mans 350 motor?
Pontiacs typically like 12-14 degrees initial timing. It's a good starting point.
