Why is loadshedding necessary?

Since there is no sufficient power available as per the demand

What are the pros and cons of load shedding?

Original use was in the 50's when a stove and dryer was installed but the service could not handle both. The load shedder would automatically turn off one of the appliances so the other could run.

Industrial shedding could be multiple air compressors. As the pressure in one is close to minimum, another would be stopped to allow the low one to start.

Allowing more machinery to be connected to a service than it could handle without load shedding.

Disadvantage is that the shedded load may be necessary.

Does Caseys buy foreign oil?

Yes, but they work to reduce our dependence on foreign oil and reduce emissions by pushing for increased investments in hybrid and alternative fuel technology. Such new technology will create more U.S. jobs and protect the environment.

Actually, there is no real reduction in foreign oil dependency using hybrids or alternative fuels. Caseys has no choice but to buy foreign oil as that is where the bulk of our oil comes from. These new technologies will cost us additional fuel, but do certainly vreate many new and good paying jobs and futher our deoendency on foreign oil. It takes about 1.5 gallons of diesel and 200 gallons of water to create a gallon of ethanol, hardly cost affective and certainly very bad for our environment. The total fuel burn of 1 gallon of diesel works out to 2.5 gallons of total fuel and a reduction in food for cattle.

Foreign oil is a needed issue until we start allowing drilling witin our country. No alternatoive fuels will ever help this issue. Wind and solar are even further out there as possible energy sources.

What is the formulae for slag?

Slags are basically artificial silicates of varying formula. The is no overall formula for slag because it is dependent on the ingredients used and just what is being smelted. For example slag from iron smelting is different than from copper smelting.

The most important aspects of slags are that they contain all the unwanted materials while allowing an economic separation of the valuable constituents of the ore. The chemistry of a given slag depends on the waste components of the ore plus the fluxes used to slag them off.

How much gas does a motorcycle use?

Answer

Depending on the model and fuel economy, motorcycles can range from 25 mpg up to over 50mpg. Two stroke motors fare much worse than four stroke motors. Smaller displacement (250-500cc) four stroke motors often fare the best as high mileage commuter bikes for that reason.

To answer this question you really need to give more information such as model or engine size. I use a smaller 250cc motorcycle for commuting all week.. and average 20 USdollars. When using my LPG car..(about half the price of normal gas) for the same distances it cost 50 USdollars. Hopes this illustration helps.

You are in a chapter 13 wage earner plan but your monthly bills are behind things such as gas electric and waterI have asked your lawyer and trustee for a months of pay checks to cathup on these bills?

your mtg, co. should pay your water and sewer bill so your home does not go to forclosure. you could call gas co. to get a payment plan working for a 12 month period.

Wow, funny ideas above. Water & sewer won't foreclose (although their bills will be a lien on the property)...and the mortgage co won't pay for YOUR utilities. The water & sewer would be paid essentially by whoever buys the house - from the foreclosure that is normally done by the mortgage company....and includes any and all cost they incurred (maybe the utils to keep the house while the process is complete) to foreclose. Your in BK, because you can't pay for what you buy. You can't even pay your basic utils and such and a small portion of the things you've already sworn that you woul pay for. TIME FOR A SUBSTANTIAL CHANGE. Your obviously spending your earnings on something....THEY ARE THE WRONG THINGS. You can't afford the lifestyle your living...GET A NEW ONE YOU CAN AFFORD.

Is it legal for a duplex to only have one water meter?

It is legal for a duplex to have only one water meter. However, it is a problem if the tenant is paying the water bill. Usually, when there is one water meter in a duplex the landlord pays the water bill.

How do you read your outside water meter to make sure the water board is not overcharging you on your water bill?

By taking the reading prior to the water company (sometimes in CU FT) and then seeing how much they charge you. Do this for several months so you can figure out how much they are charging per liter /gallon.

Turn off everything in the house so you are sure that there is no water being used. Check the water meter to be sure the gauge is not moving.

What causes the pipes to vibrate even when the water is turned off?

Who invented nuclear power plants?

Leo Szilard invented nuclear reactors in 1933 and patented the idea in 1934 (GB630726) however for many reasons nothing could be done with the idea until after World War 2.

EBR-1 in the United States was one of the first experimental nuclear power plants. On December 21, 1951 it produced enough power to light the whole building.
The worlds first nuclear power plant became operational on June 27, 1954 Obninsk Russia just outside Moscow.

A place where nuclear power is produced?

A nuclear power plant or nuclear power station.

This consists of:

  • a nuclear fission reactor
  • an electric generation facility
  • one or more cooling towers to dispose of waste heat in the form of water vapor
  • a spent fuel rod storage pool of water (to keep the rods cool as their fission products decay)
  • a manned control room
  • etc.

Why load shedding panels are used in substation?

If you have many Gas turbine Generators working on parallel, if any fault happened in one generator ( so this generator is no longer feeding the load ) load shedding panels will disconnect a group of predetermined Less important loads to help the working generators in the additional load (which may come after fault of the mentioned generator ).
