Every time a wrong code is entered the wait time doubles, you must just sit the wait time out with ignition on & re-enter correct code ( various proceedures for various models) or try disconnecting battery for an hour or so....... Good luck :-)

The 4300-300 is a ten metre radio. The fact that it can put out 300 watts out of the box should be enough to indicate this if you haven't actually dealt with them. The FCC legal limit for an 11 metre radio is four watts on AM, and 12 watts on Single Sideband.
How do you remove car radio for a 1998 Nissan Sentra?
the top of the "frame" around the radio, fan controls has a cover in the middle which hides a screw, remove the screw and there are two clips about and inch up from the bottom of each side of the "frame", then just remove the four screws holding the radio in and unplug the clip in the rear of the radio, i can't remember if you need to disconnect the fan controls first, but they are all on one plater and they have have four screws holding that plate in as well

If you have disconnected the battery like me without supplying a backup to the battery don't worry it's an easy problem to fix. Lift the plastic panel off the chassis under the drivers seat and write down the last three numbers. Presumably SEC appears on your audio LCD screen like mine. Next step Press the number "1" button and the ">" tune button at the same time. Next step "---" will appear, Enter your pin numnber you wrote down. Next step press the scan button within 10 seconds of entering pin and BINGO one audio security system unlocked!
How do you take out a factory radio in a 2005 Honda civic dx?
( this works for all factory 7th gen Civic's) first you have to remove the cigarett lighter housing (you just pry and pull) then remove the three screws holding the entire Assembly in then you pry and pull there are clips and to avoid damaging the soft upholstery use a large pry tool ( proper tools are a god send and they're all of ten bucks) then you remove the electronic clips by depressing the lock button then pulling the clips out then you have the entire head unit to take inside or work where you please. next pull the climate control nobs off (the just fall off practically with a tug) then you remove the entire climate control sestem through the back by removing some screws then pulling then remove the four screws holding the stereo in and slide it out the back of the assembly then the install is the same process just reversed ( the clips sound like their breaking when you pull them off but your honestly not. their breaking when they make a dull thud or "non-breaking noise") and you can have your battery connected when you do this, just keep the key out of the ignition and you'll be fine (yellow wires are the srs (airbag) system so be very careful of those but you shouldn't come in contact with them as they are below the stereo system) hope this helps:) Lonwel 2002 civic turbo @6psi

96 Lincoln mark viii radio displays no CD when switching to CD?
Further info: Premium sound system with 10CD changer in trunk. I have replaced the changer with a used replacement. The symptom is the same. However, the replacement unit does cycle when the magazine is inserted.
MaybeIt is entirely possible that if you are using CD's that you burned yourself they will not read. I have an older CD player and it wont accept anything but original CD's purchased from a store, when i burn one it wont read it. And definitely make sure that they are CD music format and not mp3 or wmvCheck this
The face plate for the stereo is removable. Thru time & use the wear out. Check with local junk yards for a parts car & if youre lucky you find one with the correct stereo in it. Get all the parts ( or entire car ) if possiable. They are becoming very hard to find!!

Guess what, I have this this problem and I have been dealing with Saturn of Totowa in New Jersey, Granted that they closed several dealerships in Bergen County I now understand why, bottom line is that their service department sucks. I finance a 2007 Saturn Vue, I have 24,800 miles on the car and am having a major issue which Saturn states is the "BCM" My problem, the interior light flicker on and off while the locks are locking and unlocking as I'm driving.. COMPLETELY DANGEROUS SITUATION, then as i park, turn the car off, the interior lights stay on constant. door locks are up to open the doors but the handle's do not let me open the doors basically i am locked in the car. again "COMPLETLY DANGEROUS" The dealership replaced the BCM ( Body Control Module ) STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM now they blame a stereo unit that i had professionally installed two years ago..their service writer stated that they tapped into the BCM wiring which is directly behind the stereo unit... Their tech stated that it wasn't tapped in. but in any case now they are denying to anaylize the issue further and need authorization from Saturn to proceed. O.K. I have to disconnect the battery every night so that the car would start in the morning because all of the interior lights stay on while the car is off. nice job Saturn of Totowa, NJ...anyone any answers..

Check the owner's manual. If you're lucky, sometimes the dealer or former owner will have written down the security code number somewhere in the manual (inside the front cover, or on the page that describes the radio operation, are favorite places). Also check the interior of the glove compartment - sometimes the dealer will affix a sticker containing the radios serial number and/or security code, there. IF NOT: You will need to retrieve the radio SERIAL NUMBER. On SOME radios you can do this by holding down both the number 1 and the number 6 buttons simultaneously as you turn the radio on. If you have one of those radios, the serial number will appear in the tuning window when you turn it on. IF NOT: You will need to loosen the radio and slide it far enough out of the dashboard in order to read the serial number off the plate that is affixed either on the back, or the bottom, of the radio case. When you have gotten the serial number - either call the Honda Customer Service 800 number, or stop by your local Honda dealer and give them the serial number and they should be able to give you the anti-theft security code for your radio. WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU WON"T FORGET IT! This will happen every time the battery is disconnected or goes dead.

I am trying to use CBS's online radio stream and it isn't working how do you use it?
What I used to do is go to a cbs radio website (like KFWB) and look for the "stream online" link and navigate from there. It will start you off with the cbs radio station who's website you went to, but you can then cruise around and find the station of your choosing.

The Bose system works with amps outside the radio/receiver itself. There are amps on each speaker in the car. I bought three different new radios off Ebay. They were all garbage in the end...(used too).
What I did?

I bought the 501. It was a great move. It gets rid of the tape. It has RCA hookups for a woofer, plays MP3's and accepts a 8 gig USB card for music, (generally a little IPOD). Sound quality is great. The Kenwood is really nice, but really any stereo will work. Have it be around 50-55 watts per channel. Don't go less than that.
Here's the technical part:
You can still use the Bose speakers, but you need to disconnect and bypass the speaker preamp. Remove the amps. You can sell them on Ebay. Don't cut any wires. Run new wires from the stereo area. Awl a hole thru the boot that houses wires feeding the door's electrical wires. Use a decent gage wire with good insulation covering. Run the speaker cable thru there. You will have to remove the door leather panel liner to get the new wire down to the speaker area. For the rear speakers: run them under the running boards on the driver side to the back. Label the wires to which speaker they will hook up to. You will want to crimp new clamps onto the speaker wires...ones that match the tabs on the speaker.
Use the J30 guide, the one in the trunk, to figure out the electrical diagram wires. Check using a voltmeter to find the hot wires, ground wires and accessory wires. You will not use any of the original speaker wires. An adapter for the antenna will be needed. I bought one on Ebay that was real crap. Goto an audio store. They should have one in stock. (Nissan uses two car antennas. The adapter will combine them into the standard universal plug).
Now you have created a much lower maintenance audio system without losing any sound quality.
How do you make the radio lights come on the stereo of a 1999 mercury villager estate?
The radio lights are supposed to come on when you turn on your headlights and adjust with the rest of your dashboard lights. I had this problem when I purchased my 1995 Mercury Villager back in 1997 with a mere 33k miles on the odometer. I believe the mechanic replaced the display panel under warranty. I have not had a problem since. I will look for that work authorization and get back to you if it was something different. I am not sure If your problem is the same but it is worth exploring replacing the display panel. Good Luck
