Are radio waves electromagnetic energy?
Yes. That's how Earth-bound controllers communicate with the Hubble Space
Telescope, the Mars rovers, and with the various space probes still in service.
It's also how the Apollo astronauts were able to communicate with Houston
while they were on the Moon, and how the forgotten crew currently on the
International Space Station are able to tell their colleagues on the ground
exactly what they are doing and generally what's going on up there. And it's
also how you're able to receive 92 channels of TV from a satellite repeater
with that little dish on the garage roof.
What good names to use for a radio station?
Call it: " The Cool Sports Radio Program " .
If that doesn't impress you, it just shows that 'cool' is different things to different people.
Should one turn off the radio and air-condition before starting the car?
the compressor has a built in delay ( assuming that everything is working the way it's supposed to) so it is not engaged during starting and wont engage until a few seconds after.

Why does my radio in my 2003 Honda Accord lx not work?
You're radio is not working because the circuit board may be the problem. If you have less than 105 k miles on you're Honda accord then I would suggest that you take it in to get the circuit board replaced on you're radio.
When was the discovery of radio waves from space?
edward vanbrgerr a German scientist first dicovered them when listioning to the static on his radio and ran expeirments then devoloped the first radio wave dish
What is the length of a radio wavelength?
Between 3kHz to 300GHz.
AM radio is considered a medium wave bandwave. In Europe it works between 526.5 kHz to 1606.5 kHz. In America and other countries it's usually between 535 kHz to 1705 kHz.
FM radio usually 87.5 to 108.0 MHz is used through out the world.
i assume there is no clicking sound??? possible causes could be a faulty igntion switch, try hitting under the steering column where your ignition key goes in, give it some real good hard hits, and try, if it cranks/starts, you have a faulty ignition switch, if not, you may have a blown fuse, a bad battery, or a bad starter, generally speaking, alot of clicking, means a faulty battery, one click, or few clicks means faulty starter,
How radio waves are transmitted?
In a radio station, the signals start out at a low-level. On the order of a few hundred millivolts, signals come from a computer's soundcard, or a CD player, nowdays it is almost guaranteed to be some Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). These signals are fed into a mixer, where they are combined with other similar signals, and those from the DJ's microphones (also very low level, but amplified first by a Mic pre-amp). The final mix from the mixer is then fed to a RF modulator/amplifier. Here, the signal is first modulated. That is, it is combined with a carrier signal. For example 100.5 FM starts with a 100.5 MHz sinewave. Then it is frequency-modulated by the audio signals from the mixer. In FM, the input signal (audio) causes instantaneous variations in the frequency of the carrier. See the FM Modulation link. Modulation is necessary to carry the signal through the air. Audio waves (20Hz - 20kHz) have such a large wavelength that they would require unbelievably large antennas to broadcast/receive. This modulated signal is then amplified from several mW (.001 Watt) to several kW (1,000 Watts). Then it is carried to the antenna on the radio tower, where it is transmitted through the air.
What theme do both the novel and radio versions of The War of the Worlds share?
Humans are too vain, which can lead to trouble.
What year was the first radio ever made?
The first act of wireless telegraphy took place August 14, 1894. The first radio receiver was official built in 1895.
When were radio waves discovered?
Scientists in spent a lot of time looking for electromagnetic radiation at low frequencies - radio waves - after their theoretical prediction by James Clerk Maxwell in the 1860s. They were detected near lightning strikes and attempts were made to reproduce the effect artificially using electric sparks. Hertz in Germany and Popov in Russia were two of the early scientific investigators.
Guglielmo Marconi developed the science into a means for communicating without wires - wireless telegraphy - and conducted experiments that spanned greater and greater distances until in 1901 a message was sent over the Atlantic from Poldhu in Cornwall to Newfoundland.
How do you replace the bulb on the steering wheel radio controls on a 1997 Ford Explorer?
There is no replaceable bulb in the illuminated switches on a steering wheel. There is no room inside the button for a bulb, and such a bulb would create so much heat, that it would melt the assembly The illumination LED is integrated into the switch circuitry. The only way to fix it is to relace the switch assembly.
How much does it cost to become a radio announcer?
Not nearly enough. To start off in Radio you make roughly making $20-25,000 per year. That is with a full time gig. If you're good and host a morning show, you could make upwards of $100,000 or more per year.
How long does a 30 second radio spot typically last?
Completely depends on the individual radio station, how many listeners are within the
sound of its programs, and how many of those actually listen to that station (the station's
'ratings'.) The more people listen to it, the more a commercial spot will cost you.

What has the longest wavelength-light waves x-rays or radio waves?
Radio Waves are in the lower end of the electromagnetic spectrum and have wavelengths between several hundred feet (AM Radio) to fractions of an inch (Microwave communications).
X-Rays are high energy photons at the upper end of the electromagnetic spectrum, with wavelengths shorter than visible light, measured in nanometers to picometers.
Color wise, Red is the longest visible, while Violet is the shortest wavelength of visible light.
There are many graphical charts of the electromagnetic spectrum that show where the various waves fit in relation to each other, these can be found on an internet image search.
How to remove the radio on a 2004 Ford Mondeo?
For a 6000cd unit with central volume control You need 4x horizontal removal keys (widely available on the web) type ford removal tool in to any search engine. Each key inserts a certain way and releases the locking mechanism. Pull on the ring part of each key to pull the unit out.
