It's a band which is known in Lithuanian hip-hop scene for 7 years alredy. In the begining there were 2 mc's (Svaras & Giga) doing some hip-hop tacks which music was produced by very known Lithuanian electronic music band EXEM. There were some performances already and appearances on the radio, plus the band recordered a collabo track with punk-rock band "Turboreanimacija". The track reached No.1 position in one big (at that time) independent radiostation countdown.

In 1997 the big hip-hop wave in Lithuania was gone, MC Giga was gone two, he chose something he enjoyed more, Svaras kept doin' new tracks. In 1998 one small Vilnius recording studio he met Donciavas who was workin on producing and recording. Studio was called PORNO SOUND. Donciavas produced new instrumentals for Svaras. At the same studio Kastetas (former punk-rock band drummer) had AFRO (hip-hop project) goin'. Kastetas appeared on some Svaras tracks, plus there were some more tracks wich also featured MC Pushas from very known Lithuanian hip-hop band ZENITAS.

Svaras searched for a DJ to have some live skratching. Former dj, DJ VINYL had no interest to make new stuff, so very fast DJ Mamania was found. Very soon Svaras had the whole album ready and still G&G name "burnin" in his heart. Right before Christmas 1999 the first official G&G SINDIKATAS album, "Tavo sielos vagiz" ["Your soul thief"] was released at independent record label "GURU RECORDS". 500 units (CD's & MC's) were made and all sold out! Svaras made some decision to group Donciavas, Kastetas, Mamania & himself to a band and work harder.

That's how G&G grew up from one member to 4. One and a half year later G&G signed Lithuanian major record label "BOMBA". The new party track "Tomas" reached No.1 positions in all known Lithuanian radiostations. In June of 2001, second album "Gatves Lyga" ["Street League"] was released. In 1 month period it was sold Gold (10 000 copies). G&G started to perform a lot. MC Pushas (Who was featured on the first and second albums) joined the forces and started performing together with G&G. In one year "DEMONS", as now G&G is sometimes called, became 5 people band.

They won "Best debut" awards in two Lithunian music awards ("Radiocentras" & "Bravo") and right after, leading by their succsessful radio single "1as kraujas" ["One Blood"], in the end of June, came their third album "Betono Sakmes" ["Concrete Stories"].

One way to play with friends:

# Place a chair in an open space so that your movement is not restricted. Use a standard desk chair, without any arm rests. Sit the person chosen to be lifted in the chair. (Do not pick someone too large at first, but gradually try larger and larger people to see what you are capable of.) Tell them to relax, with both feet together on the floor, hands in lap. #

Four lifters should bring their hands together with forefingers and index fingers pointing outwards, and the remaining fingers clasped around each other. #

Make a test lift. Two lifters should stand behind the liftee, and one at either side of their legs. With hands in the position described in step two, place the protruding fingers under the corresponding the knees and armpits. Once everyone is comfortable, lifters should count to three and all lift up with their fingers at the same time. You may manage to lift the person slightly, or maybe not at all. If the liftee is boosted straight up in the air, then they are far too light and should be changed for a heavier subject. #

Engage your minds. Once you have established how difficult it is to lift the subject, it is time to employ some simple "mind over matter" to increase your strength.

#* All lifters should place each of their hands in turn above the head of the liftee. Hands should alternate so that one's persons hands are separated by someone else's. Press down, but obviously don't hurt the person's head. #* Clear your minds, and focus as hard as you can on the idea of lifting up the person in the chair. Visualise lifting the person as high as your arms can stretch. You must picture yourselves with huge arm muscles, and "feel" immense strength in your arms. #* Whilst doing this, repeat over and over in your heads or out loud: "Light as a feather, strong as an ox". (In variations where the person is lying down, the more common phrase is "Light as a feather, stiff as a board.") #* This mental preparation should last for about thirty seconds. #

Remove your hands quickly in the order that they were put up there, and whilst remaining focused on the visual imagery, resume the lifting position. Lift at the same time. If you have done everything right, you should lift the person with remarkable ease to a remarkable height. Always remember to lower the subject carefully. One way to play with GHOSTS:

1. Get 6 people together.

2. Go to a quiet place, where there will be no distractions.

3. Lay down the person to be lifted, she/he should be as stiff as she/he can be.

4. The other 5 people put two fingers under the chosen person, and everyone closes their eyes.

5. Everyone imagine the chosen person to be light as a feather and stiff as a board, and gradually chant that over and over.

6. DON'T try to lift someone, just keep your fingers under them, and she/he will lift eventually. As soon as someone stops, the chosen person will drop.

There is at least 1 commercially branded backlapping kit on the market for sharpening the mowers. It is not intuitive and internet-posted assistance on the subject is pretty limited.

Backlapping paste is like liquid sandpaper, the grit is suspended in a sticky non toxic substance. I think the commercial kit is 80 grit. The kit comes with enough paste to do 1 or 2 sharpenings.

You can also check with a hardware store that has been around for awhile, to ask if they know someone locally who does it. I sharpen them in NW Ohio. I use a range of grits down to 220 grit.
