How do you change the hydraulic fluid in a 1993 Saturn?
Hydraulic fluid could be used in two locations on your 1993 saturn. your brake system is of course Hydraulic, in this case, the easiest way to change the fluid is to obtain a vacuum brake bleeder kit from your local parts store. you will need to loosen each bleeder screw on all 4 wheels and attach the vacuum bleeder. keep an eye on the fluid level in the master cylinder so it doesnt get too low. 1 large bottle of brake fluid is enough to do an entire vehicle. If you are talking about the clutch fluid, which is also hydraulic, there is no method of changing the fluid. the unit is sealed and offers no bleeder.

Change the CPS sensor (Crankshaft Position Sensor)...Don't get the cheapy from Autozone...That's the one that crapped out on me...get the dealer part...it's about 40 bones but it's worth it.

Mine had no spark at the plug wires during the no-crank(when car was hot) condition...There's one bolt holding the CPS in the block and mine was a 10mm socket. It's on the far side of the engine block(closest to the firewall) almost at the bottom, right above the starter.

i have a 1997 Saturn sc2 and it had a similar problem, but my dad has a dodge stratus with the same engine, 4 in line, 1.9 liter DOHC 16 valve engine (sept dodge not Saturn)
and he had 2 problems
first was a fuse, check all your fuses AND more importantly check all your empty fuse slots, you would be suprized how often fuses somehow just "fall out"
also, make shure none of your gaskets leak, if your headder gaskit is leaking bad enough, after starting your engine it would run fine till sufficiant coolant flowed into the cylinders, then it would rob the engine of enough power to just plain stall. and it wont start again till the fluid leaked back into the block (this can also happen is your engine block is cracked)
remember to always change your oil!!!

Your belts just may need tightened.... more than likely that is the problem. If the belts were just replaced within a reasonable time that should be it. If you don't know how to do it yourself, go buy a Chiltons manual at Auto Zone or any other auto parts store, they cost about 25 dollars but for most repairs on your car you can do it yourself. The manual will definitly tell you how tighten your belt. If you don't want to go that route pull up to a mechanic, be real with them and ask them if they could take one minute to tighten your belt or if they will show you how to.. If they are a human being they will probably show you. And also if oil gets on the belt that gets bad, so make sure there are no oil or fluids getting on the belt.

If you mean the serpentine belt by "bands" than I would guess that it's the water pump. I had a bad coolant leak on my 97 SL2 and diagnosed it as being the water pump. It was leaking right from the pump, which is towards the bottom of the engine. Look at the diagram for the serpentine belt under the hood and see if that could be where it's leaking from. How do you adjust a driver's seat on a Saturn?
If the adjuster handle under the front of the seat isn't working, get a flashlight and check that the cable that runs across between the tracks is connected to both sides of the seat adjuster. You should be able to see it as a small wire with hooks on either ends and small springs used to hold the hooks in place. Also, while you're under the seat, check to see if any coins are stuck in the seat tracks. They sometimes cause the seat to get stuck... Sometimes the "cable" described in the first answer above stretches and will not pull the latch on the side opposite the handle all the way. In this case you can check to make sure the hooks on each end are secured by the little springs, and check to make sure the plastic tubing goes through the holes in the latches that the hooks go through, and if all else fails, try replacing the wire. You could also try using pliers to put a kink in the wire (it's stiff) to try to shorten it up a bit. But wrap the plier jaws with tape first to avoid nicking the wire.
An oil leak there is probably a valve cover gasket leaking. it would not require head gasket replacment. Try tightning the bolts on the valve cover. If that does not work then replace the valve cover gasket.
Yes it could be the head gasket as there are oil passages in the head and i have heard that head gasket on saturns are prone to failure,look around the valve cover for sings of a leak hopfully that's all it is because replacing the head gasket is costly on th 1.9 sohc

The fascia that covers the center air vents down to the space just above the ashtray and console must be removed, this is fairly easy to do, just take hold of it and pull straight back toward you. It will make a sound like you are breaking it but it will pop off. The rest is fairly obvious, you will see Hex head screws remove them around the radio and then extract the radio from its space, on the back of the unit, press the connector tabs in and remove the connector and next the antenna wire.
