Why is your 2006 Saturn relay van leaking coolant from the rear?

If your van has rear heating it will have hoses and a heater core back there, that is most likely the source of the leak.

What do the fuses control in Saturn L?

Fuses are in place to protect just about every circuit in an automobile. About the only thing that is not on a fuse would be the starter. Technically, the fuses do not "control" anything. They only blow when something has gone bad.

This answer although technically correct fails to answer the question completely and it is at least partially due to the vagueness of the question.

Since the fuses do 'control' power to the vehicles many powered devices I believe the question is asking for a layout of the fuse panel to understand which fuses go to their respective devices. Normally this is found in the vehicles Owners Manual.

It will show a picture of the panel(s) location and their respective fuse values and function.

Why does a 1993 Saturn service engine light come on and off at times What is wrong How do you get codes?

A short cut to check the codes on a 1993 Saturn; locate the code reader connector below the steering column under the dash. Insert a wire or paper clip between the upper right two pins of the connector. (pins are side by side) Cycle the key to the "on" position (engine off). The "service engine soon"light will flash the normal ignition code first -three times example blink - one (pause)....one...two (or code 12) repeat blink -one (pause)....one...two (code 12) repeat for a third time. Then the light will flash the next code> Blink - one...two...three (pause) one...two.. (or Code 32) ????EGR circuit failure???? repeat code 32 two more times. finally after all the codes are flashed the normal ignition code will appear again at the end of the cycle.

Remember each code will be repeated three times.

Some shop manuals have the codes listed in the books

Also I think this trick only works up to 1994 (update: actually to 1995. They went to OBDII in 1996).

Maybe try going to Autozone, they will check your codes for you for free.

hope this helps.

AnswerAutozone can't help you... they will only test I believe 1996 and up.

Does a 2000 Saturn 1.9 liter have a timing belt or chain?

The 4 cylinder Saturn engines used an "Oil bath" timing chain.

The V6 Saturn engines used an "external" timing belt.

Where is the temperature sending unit located on a 1998 Saturn?

look behind and probably a little below the return radiator hose on the drivers side of the engine, there should be two wires leading to a sensor in the side of the engine block. The wires should be yellow and black.

Why are the power locks on a 96 Saturn locking and unlocking constantly and draining the battery can this be fixed with a fuse or by disconnecting the locks?

Where do you add transmission fluid on a 97 Saturn?

Assuming you mean an automatic transmission, the dipstick is on the right hand side of the engine bay. You'll need a small tipped funnel to add fluid down the tube. If your referring to a manual transmission, there will be a fill plug on the side of it.

Where is the O2 sensor located on a 1994 Saturn SC1?

O2 sensor is located in the exhaust manifold just off the front of your motor. If you open the hood and locate your exhaust manifold, follow it down toward the radiator. you should see a 1-wire sensor sticking out of the exhaust manifold. this is your O2 sensor. you will need either a special Oxygen sensor removal tool, or a 7/8 wrench to remove it.

How do you burp a Saturn cooling system?

How replace the oil on a L300 Saturn?

Find a suitable collection container that can adequately contain about 5 quarts of oil.

Place the container directly under the engine.

Remove the oil drain plug at the bottom of the engine oil pan and position the collection container such that the oil from the engine will collect in the container.

While the oil is draining from the engine, remove the oil filter cover; it should be a round cap that has a hex shaped casting to enable easy removal. Another container could be used to collect the oil that leaks from the oil filter assembly, or if the collection container is large enough, it could be used for collecting both the oil pan oil and the oil filter oil.

IT'S A MESSY JOB, SO HAVE PLENTY OF RAGS AVAILABLE!!!

Replace the oil pan plug, using a new gasket if you can find one.

Install a new oil filter using a new "O" ring. (coat the new "O" ring with a light film of old motor oil to help it seal.)

Make certain everything is tightened properly. (for the oil filter, read the directions on the container.)

Open the oil fill cap at the top of the engine and pour in 4 quarts of high quality oil.

Start the engine briefly and check for leaks around the oil filter. Make certain that the oil pressure comes up. (watch the oil pressure indicator on the dashboard)

Turn off the engine, let it sit for a few minutes then check the oil level using the dipstick. You'll no doubt need to add the fifth quart of oil, but do so at this time.

How much does it generally cost to replace and install a 1997 Saturn SL2 clutch?

Well, Generally speaking a Saturn Clutch is expensive, more than a Honda or Toyota.

I own a 2000 Saturn SL2, had the clutched replaced about a month ago, for the whole cluthing assembly it cost me $945 parts and labor. labor took about 3 days. The mechanic said that saturns don't have a bleed valve for the clutch lines so they had some problems with it. but the got er' done

What is the quad driver module?

When hooking up a scan-tool to my girlfriend's daughter's 93 SC2 DOHC, I get a Quad Driver Module 1 Fault. I can clear the code, but it will return next time the engine is started. Most technical literature I have been able to get my hands on identifies a quad driver (there are apparently 2 or 4 of them) as a component internal to the PCM which is used to energize various relays and solenoids in the system The QDM is internal Pcm and contorls various components from check engine light to cooling fan to EGR soenoid and pugre solenoid. If it comes on as soon as you start the car most likely the EVAP purge solenoid is the fault. Rather than guess take it to the dealer spend 40$ and get them to do a QDM test this will tell you which component is failing and save the guess.

Where is oil filter on Saturn aura?

The 2008-2009, L4-2.4L 4 cylinder Aura oil filter is a replaceable element, not a standard spin-on type. It's on the front of the engine, driver's side, slightly under the intake manifold, next to the transmission. It's accessed from topside. The oil filter cover looks like a short dome with a hex nut on top. You'll need a 1 1/4" (32mm) low-profile socket to remove the cover [i.e., NAPA = SER-3932; Advance Auto = Lisle 14700]. You'll likely find this socket in the Oil Filter Wrench section of your local auto parts supplier.

Your replacement filter should come with a new o-ring. Remove the oil filter housing cover, then remove the old element and replace. Make sure to use the new o-ring. Make sure that the new filter element is oriented correctly before installation.

Water leaking from passenger side of motor has water pump gone bad in a 1993 Saturn?

this is quite possible. the water pump is the only soruce of water on the passanger side of the engine. there are the coolant hoses running to your coolant bottle that could be leaking, or your coolant bottle itself could be leaking. these are usually not the case. water pump installation is accually quite simple. you can follow these steps if you plan on doing the repair youself.

1. jack the vehicle up on both sides, use jack stands if possible.

2. Remove Passanger front tire, along with plastic splash shield

3. Drain coolant

4. With serpentine belt still installed, loosen the 3 bolts on the water pump pully, don't take them all the way off, just loosen them.

5. Use a 14mm wrench to reduce tention on the serpentine belt enough

so you can slide the belt off

6. Remove the water pump pully bolts, remove pully, or let it rest on the

pump shaft.

7. Remove water pump housing bolts (6 of them) and discard the gasket

8. reverse procedure to reinstall new water pump
