Jack up the front of the vehicle.

Remove the passenger side wheel.

Remove the plastic mud shield that covers the engine, there are several plastic retainer pins that should pry out with a little attention to detail.

Remove the serpentine belt, or at the very least, take pressure off of it enough to pull it away from the water pump pulley. Some serpentine tensioners have a square hole that accommodates a 1/2 inch breaker bar.

At that point, the water pump should be relatively easy to remove/replace.

The engine warning wrench icon is a reference to a problem with the engine. The engine should be checked by a certified mechanic.

Just try turning the steering wheel to one side or the other. Sometimes the ignition gets locked up in one direction and by gently turning it to either side while turning the key in the ignition will free it up.

The tumblers are sticking. insert key and hit with a hard object to jar the tumblers loose. Then blow grafite into the key slot.

The water pump is on the back of the engine, passenger side. If you look down on the engine from the passenger side, look to the rear of the engine mount. You will see a plate attached to the front cover with 4 10mm bolts. Behind that plate is the water pump drive gear. It is driven by the balance shaft chain. There is a special tool to hold the chain in place because if you take the bolts out without holding the chain you will need to remove the timing chain and balance shaft chain to reset the timing. The pump comes out the rear of the timing cover. Held in by 4 13mm bolts. Also there is a pipe going into the middle rear of the pump that needs to be removed before you can get the pump out. It runs under the exhaust manifold to the other end of the engine into the t-stat housing. It needs to come off as well

If they share a common engine then it may. The 8th digit in VIN is the engine code. You can also tell by visually ensuring parts are identical.

The belt tensioner is located below and in front of the power steering pump. It is accessed easiest by taking off the passenger front tire, taking the plastic panels out and looking just in front of and above the alternator. Turn it clockwise to release tension on the belt, NEVER turn it counter clockwise as this will loosen the bolt that holds the pulley on the tensioner and will cause very bad things if it flys off while you are driving on the freeway...personal experience. The tensioner is held on by (2) 10mm bolts, and you will have to remove the pulley to get to them, just make sure you tighten the bejeezus out of the pulley bolt.

The coolant light is supposed to indicate when the coolant level is low. If you're certain that the vehicle coolant level is up, check the electrical connections and finally the sensor.

If you're talking about the "third brake light", the one that's in the middle of the rear window:

The light housing pulls off. It's held on by plastic clips but it comes off fairly easy.

Once the cover is off, you can just turn the lights to get them out.

If you're asking about the two side lights, pull the trunk liner out of the way then turn the lights counter clockwise about 1/4 turn to get them to come out.

In my L Series Saturn, the fuses are under the hood for some things and on the wall near the floor pedals. My car has a diagram and explains which fuses are for what on the top of the cover panel of the fuse box locations.

Yes, you can paint it yourself or you can take it to a body shop to have it color matched and painted. If you choose to do so, you can get automotive paint to do it yourself.

Saturn fans.com states the problem is with the alternator voltage regulator. Unfortunately, this problem has not been openly admitted as a fault of the l200 series, even though many owners have this intermittent flash of the lights. A technician I know said this problem has to do with the "comfort control module" which operates 12v devices like door locks lights security ect. My l200 has this flashing and about the time when the flashing got worse, the keyless locking mechanism was almost inoperable. So..... logically this problem has to do with a combination of both comfort control module and voltage regulator. The flashing is possibly the ccm whereas it could be a voltage spike due to improper voltage regulation, then it may be the alternator. Best to have a Saturn dealer check the prob. but ask them to document any tests of your alternator.

I had same problem with a 2001 L200. I heard a clicking sound inside the engine fuse box and it coincided with the lights blinking. Found it was one of the relays inside inside the fuse box. Replaced the relay that seemed to be clicking and the blinking light problem stopped.

The thermostat is located on the back of the engine under the exhaust manifold There is a pipe that runs across the back of the engine and around the corner to the hose the t-stat is in the pipe right where the hose connects to the pipe Easy to change if you know what you are doing Not easy if you don't Note that whole pipe must come off to replace the stat

That's easy, On the factory radio you will find embossed on the face the word time,next to the "recall" button, if you hold this button down while pressing the "up" buttom it will change the hours "down button" will change the minutes.

An alternator in a 2000 model year Saturn LS1 is located in the engine compartment. It is on the lower left of the passenger side of the car.

1. Find the #1 cylinder. That's on bank 1.
2. the other side of the engine is bank 2.

SERIOUS RECOMMENDATION!!!
If you're asking because the bank 2 oxygen sensor has failed, don't bother worrying about bank 1 or bank 2 sensor... just replace them both. If one has worn out the other is close behind. It's not that difficult to replace them both while you're doing the job.

What you're describing sounds like low hydraulic pressure. That can be caused by an internal hydraulic leak or a worn hydraulic pump. Internal hydraulic leaks can be a "valve body" issue, which can be a little less money than a full transmission rebuild, or it can be something much more difficult/expensive.

If it's the hydraulic pump, it must be replaced to solve the problem... however, once you have the transmission apart, you may as well rebuild the whole thing.

Now for the good news.

For a vehicle that is 15 years old, you would probably be better off just putting in a can of "Trans-X" or other transmission seal reconditioner. Seal reconditioners cause the seals to soften slightly and enlarge, resulting in a little less internal leaking. That can be a way to get a little extra life out of a worn transmission.

It might be that people toke it off or it might not have oil or the transmission doesnt work.
